Jalen served directly under me for 3 months in the Sales and Marketing area of Sports 1
Marketing. His passion, eagerness to learn and willingness to do what was required
simply allowed him to shine above the rest.
He personally generated many great sponsor leads for our Aggregated Marketing
Platform. He volunteered to support other divisions and attend several events throughout
the duration of his internship, including the Project Access Gala and American Legion
Salute at Del Mar Racetrack.
Because we allow our interns to manage their own schedules, we get a variety of people
who simply sit and wait for instruction. Not Jalen! He diligently organized his day,
checked in with me regularly and would even sacrifice personal invitations to work on
projects with Sports 1 Marketing.
