I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for the support offered to us through the ING
Advisors Network Field Operations team. Our first exposure to the team was at our regional
compliance meeting in Philadelphia back in June of 2002 through the client service with a
purpose module. Since then we have been consulted and supported by field operations through
the services of Phil Lambing.
Over the past year Phil has teamed with us as we’ve refined our business plan and model. This has
resulted in a more efficient office structure and workflows as well as improved client communications
and service. We have been dealing with issues that I have desired to resolve for years,and this has
been a great motivator to move ahead.
We are honored at being chosen as one of the top offices in the network and receiving the benefit of
continued service from Phil Lambing and the field operations team. Now that we have clearly defined
goals and roles in our office we look forward to growing the business and moving ahead. Over the
next month Phil will be conducting business development (MAP) and referral workshops for the Reps

As you know I have been working with Phil Lambing from Phil Simensen’s ING Field
Operations Training and Development unit. Phil Lambing helped us develop a Mission
Statement and Vision Statement. He also helped me developed a business plan for the next
year.
The Mission and Vision Statements are the foundation of our business plan and I would strongly
recommend everyone in Multi-Financial Securities Corporation doing the same thing. It is easy to say,
I had always said I was going to do it, but would somehow be too busy to do it. Phil Lambing has been
the catalyst in getting me to set the time and to do it. Phil has been extremely supportive and
professional in his approach with us. I have learned a great deal already in working with Phil. He has
so much knowledge about our business and experience, which enables him to be right on target with
his instruction and support.
Part of my arrangement with Phil is for him to do workshops for my branch two times a year. He has a
number of important workshops covering areas my representativeshave expressed a desire to attend. I
started with Phil doing the workshop of “Customer Service with a Purpose”. Phil made a really
professional presentation and all of my reps were impressed. They are looking forward to the next
workshop, which we will have in the spring of 2004.
I know from an ING business point of view Phil’s area can be viewed asan “Expense”. From my
point of view, Phil is a very valuable resource to Multi-Financial Securities representatives. If I had to
secure Phil’s services on the “open market” it cost $1,000 to $3,000 perday. The reality is I would not
hire someone from the outside even though I should. It was a pleasant surprise when Phil Simensen
responded to my initial request for help at the 2003 Quick Start conference and assigned Phil Lambing
to work with us. I did not know what to expect and it has turned out to be extremely valuable to me.
Every Multi Rep should be made aware of what Phil’s team can provide for them. I view this unit as
another reason to not want to look at other B/Ds. That has to be worth something to ING in addition
to increased production on the part of my branch.

I just spoke with Brad Hall, one of our Premier Partners. Mr. Hall wanted to
call to let us know that he recently attended a seminar given by Phil
Lambing titled "Client Service With A Purpose". Mr. Hall wanted us to
know that this was one of the best seminars he has ever attended. He was
very impressed by the content and by Mr. Lambing's presentation. Mr. Hall
told me that if had one complaint, it would be that the seminar didn't go
longer. According to Mr. Hall, the seminar lasted 2.5 hours and his
impression was that he could have easily absorbed another hour or more
of the presentation.
