4. EDUCATION & TRAINING
SUAS Raven B DDL School
Provides the small unit the organic capability to perform beyond visual line of sight
reconnaissance, surveillance, and target acquisition coverage of marginal maneuver areas.
Combat Arms Apprentice Course
This course is designed for personnel laterally retraining from Security Forces into the Combat
Arms shred-out with basic Combat Arms Instructor skills. The course provides training in
Combat Arms Operations, Maintenance, Fundamentals, as well as Principles and Techniques of
Instruction. Students will receive hands-on training on the M9 Pistol, M4 Carbine, M203
Grenade Launcher, M240B Machinegun, and the M249 Automatic Rifle.
Airman Leadership School
Leadership and Management (LMM 1101): Role and responsibilities of airmen; theories,
techniques, and practical application of leadership/followership; supervision; management; stress
management; problem solving; concepts of human behavior; standards of discipline; effective
counseling techniques; evaluation of enlisted personnel; and current social issues. Managerial
Communications (LMM 1102): Principles of oral/written communications for airmen,
theories/concepts of communications, factors influencing communication process, speaking

1104): Introduction to the total quality approach to management. Includes the quality Air Force
commitment; seven-step continuous improvement process; quality environment, tools, metrics,
roles and responsibilities; and effective team-building concepts.

Qualification in and possession of AFSC 3P071. Also, experience in leading, managing, and
directing SF activities.
Combat Arms Supervisors Course
This course provides training to Security Forces NCOs in the knowledge and skills needed to
