SUMMARY
Capt Raj Kumar has been a pilot since 1989 clocking more than 7500 hours on various aircraft
type. He was an exemplary soldier while in the Royal Malaysian Airforce (RMAF), receiving awards
for aviation studies, instructor skills and for carrying out challenging rescues. Capt Raj was
selected as the Prime Minister's VVIP pilot for two years. He completed his service in 2001 and
flew offshore for many years and now flies aeromedical rescue with the Qatar Emiri Air Force. He
held various positions including the Head of Flight Standards. He set–up a Helicopter Flight Data
Monitoring (HFDM) system from scratch, including training of other pilots and engineers resulting
in a safer work environment.
Continuing his studies, he completed his MBA, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, software programming and
helideck inspection training.
Capt Raj believes in hard work, honesty and loyalty.
2. ATTRIBUTES
Capt Raj is a team player and always puts the team ahead of himself. Of a mature, calm
temperament, he gets along easily with those around him. Voluntarily doing little things that get
left out by the system and always looks for the best solution. The aircraft safety is paramount and
he strives to be operationally and technically apt, leaving little to chance.
