2. Research
• Looked for locations suffering from neglect.
• Looked for locations which are in a similar
condition to film.
• We picked the Civic Centre.
• We then went there to look for good areas of the
building to shoot and to look for signs of neglect.
3. Idea
• Show how the Civic Centre and Film Stock
have a lot of similarities.
• Wanted it to look eerie and sinister.
• Wanted to shoot early in the morning for a
dark mood.
4. Sound
• Eerie soundtrack.
• Sound Effects/foley to give a
distorted/mysterious sound.
• Improvised sound effects.
• Wanted to add actual ambient sound.
5. Filming
• It was cold.
• The wet/dull weather helped with the mood.
• Didn’t need as much footage as we thought we would
(partly due to the fact that our shots were short and quick.
• Darker than we originally thought it would be at that time,
this helped though…
• Virtually everything went to plan.
6. Editing
• Not much colour correction used in order to
keep authenticity and eerie vibe of the Film.
• Some shots came out darker than we
thought.
• Took a while to make the soundtrack work
well together.
