2. Voice Over
• In our documentary we used a voice over to
explain what’s happening in documentay were
presenting
• We also used the voice over to talk abot the
people as the skaters and in the skate park
• The voice over is meant to grab the attention
of the viewers to entertain and to entertain
them throughout the documentary so they
get a better Idea of what is going on.
3. Real Footage of the Skaters
• Using real footage in a documentary is keyas you
don’t want your audience to think what you’ve
made is fake.
• In our documentary all out footage is real and
only some parts of it would be archive which was
filmed ages ago which we used and put into our
documentary.
• You can tell our footage is real as we interviewed
everyone one to one and can we are asking the
questions in the back ground.
4. Technicality of Realism
• The lighting we used is all natural light as we interviewed
more or less everyone outside and only filmed one person
inside. Because we filmed our documentary at night we
had some help with getting in to the skate park and being
able to film in there.
• Some of the sounds you can here in the documentary are
real because when interviewing certain people their was
other thing going on in the back ground
• We also edited some different songs over the top of the
documentary. Which you can here during the documentary
this goes throughout the hole thing but when people are
being interviewed the music in dimmed o you can here
what the person is saying.
5. Interviews with skaters
• We interview five different skaters some which
did other sports like skootering and others that
only did skating and have done it for years
• We asked them how they got in to the sport and
who inspired them to start, did they have any
friends that help them learn at the start and if
they are going to pursue it as a life and if they
want to go further in the future or just keep it as
a social life thing and just have fun.
6. Use of Text and Titles
• We used editing software to edit in titles and
people names to makes it look like it was
meant to be there such as the main title as
the start is sat on the horizon line
• We also used them to show who they was
throughout the documentary
7. Set Ups
• For the set ups for our documentary we only
really filmed at specific area such as different
skate parks and the people we were interview
at there houses.
• We also set up in the area of the first scene
where its on the beach which gave us the first
shot.
8. Visual Coding
• The visual coding in our documentary would
be the skaters wearing what they would wear
to the skate parks and seeing them with their
boards
• Also the skate park with the friends and other
skaters in the back ground skating
