6. This is the cathedral in Victory Square.
It’s was built by the emperor Federico i in 1186.
It’s the biggest church in Lodi.
7. This is Saint Francesco church, built in 1300.
It’s the most original sacred building of the city, there are buried many
important figures as the italian poetess Ada Negri.
12. These are our public gardens.
Many people come here to relax and enjoy themselves during spring and
summer. Children love to play with the water.
13. This is a small church called “Incoronata”. All decorations are
golden! This church inside is very rich and beatiful.
Here you can admire a lot of pictures of our famous painters
Callisto Piazza and brothers.
14. THE ADDA RIVER
This is the Adda, our river.
It is called the Blue river and its name means “running water”.
15. Along the banks you can see a beautiful landscape and you can
either walk on a track or ride your bike on a cycle lane for a few
kilometres.
16. The old bridge is famous for the Battle of Lodi where Napoleon fought
and won against Austrians in 1796.
17. Our wonderful vegetal cathedral.
It has built recently by the river Adda. It is composed of 108 oaks; this is a
picture at sunset. Near it there is a nice cycle path.
18. The Countryside
Lodi’s countryside is a place where you can breathe the air of freedom.
It is a very nice place because there is tranquility and lots of green lawns.
19. In Lodi and around this town there are many fields, irrigation, trees and
country roads. Corn growing is very common. .
20. In Lodi’s territory there are many farms where these animals live :
cows, horses, pigs, hens, dogs and cats.
