The Johari Window model is a simple tool developed in the 1950s by American psychologists Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham to illustrate and improve self-awareness and mutual understanding within groups. It divides information about a person into four areas: open (known to self and others), blind (unknown to self but known to others), hidden (known to self but unknown to others), and unknown (unknown to both self and others).
