2. To have a successful media product I needed to gather information about my genre
and the type of movies most audiences like. As my genre, action-drama, is popular amongst
most of the people I received a positive result. The age group compromised mostly of 10-20 and
most of them having watched an action-drama thriller recently, which shows that how much
interest they take in the type of media product I was producing. People even had the knowledge
about my media product with them answering some of the questions related to my genre, like
the type of sound, the type of music there should be etc.

3. As most of the audience who like my kind of media product were mostly teenagers, I had to
follow their type of code and convention so that they like my movie as it was for mostly them
to watch. To those who I showed the video they really liked the sound and the story as well as it
surrounded a boy who is their age and who is suffering from a social drama many teenagers suffer.
What makes you get to the edge of your seat?
4. The reference film I chose for my film was Talaash (Aamir Khan Productions) as the sound and
direction of the movie is what I liked and tried to emulate. The low-key lighting in the movie and
the suspense creating sound in the movie was my inspiration to the film. It showed that any person
can have a very dark secret in themselves and that’s what my movie showed. The genre of the
movie resembled my genre and it was mostly liked between the age group of 15-40 consisting
mostly of teenagers.
5. The institution that inspires me is Aamir Khan Productions as it creates movies mostly consisting
drama in it and targets all type of audience, mostly adults and teenagers. All the movies
it has made up till now have either been a hit or a super-hit due to the types of music and
direction it produces. All of it follows the code and conventions of the genre and audience it
requires and that is why I and most of the people enjoy the movies it produces and their movies
are what I have tried to emulate.
