Main Points For My Proposal

1. Brief:
I have been ask by my client, Culture East, to write some material on an upcoming
digital product. Culture east would like the material to be written for a website, e-
zine or game. I have chosen to create a website for this project, because this would
allow my targeted audience to interact with the digital media product.
Purpose:
My aims in this project are to entertain, educate and inform people. Also, the
purpose of my project is also to inspire people. It may inspire be either making them
interested in skating and helping them start skating or it will urge to listen to more
than one genre of music. My project will entertain my target audience with images,
daily post on latest music or skating news and videos. It will also educate people,
because it will tell them information on things they have never heard of. For
example, names of skateboard tricks and the total number of artist that had gone
platinum on an album. The materials I will be writing about will be Skateboarding,
Music and possibly Fashion.
Target Audience:
My target audiences for the music side of the project is Enthusiasts and Savants
from the age 16 to 30. This is because these two audience types think that music is a
key part in their lives. Whereas, the skateboarding side of the project would be
directly targeted at skateboarders from the age of 16 to 30 also. The reason I have
chosen to range my target audience from 16 to 30 is so that my audience is not bias
and has both teenagers and adults involved with the project.
Achievable Aim:
I believe that I will be able to achieve my aims within the time given because, I will
be interviewing people who are local and live in local area, meaning It will be less
time consuming for me to travel just to interview people. I also believe that this
project will be achievable because, I already have some pre-recorded footage I plan
to use in the duration of my project.
Location & Timeframe Consideration:
The location that I have chosen to focus my project on, is the Waltham forest and
Stratford area. I have chosen to focus on the Stratford area because, I have the
knowledge of knowing that there are certain individuals who skateboard within the
Stratford area. Also, I have focused on the Walthamstow area because, this is where
I originally from and where I also skate with peers of mine. I have also chosen these
areas because, I know the area well. The time I will need to complete will be three to
four weeks. I think this will be an appropriate
IPSO:
IPSO stands for the Independent Press Standards Organisation. IPSO is the press
industry regulator here in the UK. Their aim is to handle complaints about breaches
of the Editors Code of Practice. The press regulator was established in 2014, this was
because of problem with the PCC, which had been the press regulator for the United
Kingdom since the 90s.
Level Of Organisation:

2. The order of which I will conduct my project in will be getting the easy things done
first, such as any videos or images and the designing of the cover of the website.
These will be done first, because this will give me an idea of how the website will
structured and what topic will be first, second and last if there is a fashion side of the
project also. Then, I will continue on to the harder side of the project, this will
contain things such as designing the website itself and getting people to be
interviewed. The interview side of the project may be hard as I will have to find
people that will be available to interview.
Resources:
The availability of the resources will be limited as there will be others, who will using
the same equipment as I will. So, this means that I will have to make sure I book my
equipment early, so that I don’t have to have rotation system with another person.
The equipment will be easy for me to get, as I will be able to book things such as
cameras(DSLR), the TV studio and Macs for editing footage.
Production Team & Personnel Required:
For this project, I will working alone. The reason for this is that, I won't have to rely
on anybody to complete tasks or film any footage for my project. I have made this
choice because, I believe it is less time consuming and helps me get the work done
quicker. If I need any help, it will be from people that are reliable within my peers or
friends from outside of the college. The help will involve either being involved in a
interview or helping me film or take pictures for the project. The expertise which I
have that will help me succeed, are that I am able to create artistic and creative
logos from my project, I am also good at filming and editing, knowing and using
many different camera shots and editing in past projects such as the Nike advert my
team had created, that was lead by me.
Legal, Moral, and Ethnical Issues:
During this project, there will no material produced that is in anyway offensive,
dangerous or libellous. I will be considering things such as morals, which are things
that society considered to be wrong such as vandalism or littering. Also, I will need to
get people's signature's, so that they give me the rights to use their face in footage,
because if I didn’t it would be considered illegal to use their face without their
consent.
