Why I want to study visual effects
The reason for wanting to study such an astonishing subject like visual effects is because of
the creativity and the in depth design of creating a world different from ours. It allows to
use our imagination and bring things that would never exist in our world to life. It’s an art
form of design and texture. Visual effects will allow you to enter a world that people
wouldn’t even think of going to. The reason why I love this subject is because it’s what I
want to adapt in my own personal videos. I create music and with music it allows you to be
free and creative just like visual effects and both the collide because when creating a music
video, you can be different, imaginative, give people a visual experience that there never
had before and that’s what I want to do. Not only just for music but for movies or whatever
field I’m going to dive in to. Visual effects is always inspiring because it continues to strive
and prosper each and everyday, we’ve seen how visual effects has evolved over the years
and it get’s better and better each and everyday, the detail, the design, the colour, the look
and texture of It all. It inspires me because it allows me to be very creative, to think outside
the box and to create a whole new dimension.
I really hope that studying this subject will further my skill in visual effects, this would even
further my passion even more for the love of music and creating visuals. Things like this help
to bring out the best out of people, to break free of being seduced to one thing, not being
secluded to the normal way of living, it allows you to explore new ways to develop and
grow.
I’ve been study media for a couple years and media touch base on everything from visual to
journalism to photography and is part of the reason why my interest began for visual
effects. Part of the Level 3 media btec diploma was to create a short movie. Even though we
didn’t go in to great detail with the filmin terms of adding visual effects but it was still more
of glimpse into the future of endless possibilities of going in any direction I wanted to go in. I
learnt the basics of final cut pro which then helped me to progress into premier pro which is
probably the most bested use industry tool.
I’m motivated and self-driven as I have so many ideas that I would love to bring to life and
do not want to be limited to one thing or one creation. I want to be able to creative on a
whole new level and going on this subject will help me take it there. I do the work I am
organised from the grain upwards. I do the homework or research needed to know what I
must do to accomplish my goals and my ambition, I set targets and goals that need to be
met and have been met and will be met. I take pride in my creation and come off as a bit of
a perfectionist as I tend to want the final piece to be brilliant and will work till it’s done.
I will definitely be an excellent edition to your university as I possess the skills and talent to
not only excel myself but to excel others and the university to great things.
The combination of music combined with visual effects would definitely take my career to a
whole new level once finishing the course. I want to take the skills I gain from university and
master them outside with my work outside of education to gain attraction from top
business and professional practices, to show these people that I am a talent to be shown to
the whole of the world and to not be taken for granted.
