Job Description:
 Attend and listen to the customer concerns and conduct a road test with them to identify /
understand certain technical issues.
 Completing the diagnosis of faulty vehicle .This includes a systematic process whereby the
vehicle is subjected to test drives (before & after diagnosis), detection, troubleshooting, &
diagnosis (electrical & mechanical) & eventually performance of the repaired vehicle is
checked for.
 Workshop Scheduling to achieve smooth and efficient flow of work and vehicles are
delivered as per committed time.
 Workshop productivity to ensure cars are delivered from workshop as per Standard
timeframe with respect to their jobs.
 Motivate and drive the team to achieve targets to get incentives.
 Apart from providing technical advice & support to my team of technicians. I also have to
enlist their personal demands (eg.leave, uniform etc) & professional demands (eg.tools,
equipments, S.S.T, etc) in the form of reports with are forwarded to the manager on weekly
basis. These reports are considered by the management with complete transparency.
 Conduct inventory for tools and equipment to ensure all are calibrated and in good
condition.
 Effective communication with the front office staff is a requisite for a Foreman as it is
necessary to keep them abreast of the developments of a particular job.
 If any delay is foreseen in delivery of vehicle, promptly inform the service advisor along with
taking approval for the changes in the cost and / or time.
 A Foreman is answerable to customers & on request offer explanation & clear doubts
regarding the vehicle in simple & lucid language.
 Ensure the vehicle is in a clean condition before it is delivered to the customer.
 Deliver high customer satisfaction (CSI) by following all processes and norms.
 Thus at TSM, maintain very high standards & adhere to & inculcate the “KAIZEN” principle
for betterment of work ethics.
 Create BFTR (branch field technical report) for warranty approval, technical assistance and
frequently occurring complaints.
 Conduct appraisal of my team on monthly basis & forward to line manager every semester.
That report will be considered at the end of the year for final appraisal.
Additional Responsibilities:
 Maintain & arrange tool room including all SST’S & repair manual. Order any tools if
required.
 Arrangement of warranty parts according to the month and dispose off on regular basis.
 Obtaining required target score in GALLUP programs with respect to customer engagement
and associate engagement.
 Ensuring, basic “KODAWARI” is followed at the workshop.
 Organize in house technical training for technicians.
