Responsibilities
At MSIL Vendor System Up gradation, we are responsible for development & adherence of proper system at
Maruti Suzuki Tier-1 Suppliers. MSIL has total of about 700 Tier-1 Suppliers. As per the company guidelines, It’s
the duty of our department to ensure proper development & adherence of systems at vendors’ end. The Key
Responsibilities are:
Preparing an annual vendor selection criteria based on the vendor performance in Quality & Delivery
Ratings.
Selecting the worst 50 vendors for Vendor up gradation & implementing the benchmarking practices
which ultimately results in increased consumer satisfaction through better quality of Suzuki Vehicles.
Conducting Quality System Audit of all Tier-1 Vendors at-least once in 3 years. The audit is done on
basis of a check sheet which has been benchmarked with our parent company Suzuki Motors
Corporation (SMC), Japan.
2. Helping Suppliers in benchmarking processes through a target based approach.
Conducting New part development audits at vendors for giving them go ahead for SOP.
Helping Supply Chain to conduct system audit of new suppliers at time of new supplier selection.
Responsible for developing IT enabled Vendor auditing platform which can be used for conducting
vendor audits & follow up on countermeasure action Plan.
Trained by SMC Japan experts for Quality Systems Audit & Implementation.

Responsibilities
At MSIL Market Quality, we are responsible for after sales Quality of Maruti vehicles i.e. Warranty & customer
feedback. Once the car is delivered to the customer, the overall quality responsibility lies with us (As company
provide vehicle warranty for some ‘X’ time from date of purchase). Also, based on our experience with Old
models’ market issues, we provide the feedback to different MSIL agencies for new models development.
Some of the responsibilities are:
Responsible for component level Market Quality of Seat, Seat Belts, Headlamp, Tail lamp & Shock
Absorbers.
Responsible for analysis of Market return part along with vendor in shortest lead time.
Ensuring timely implementation of countermeasures at vendors’ end.

3. Involved in "Part Trolley Management Project" at Maruti Joint Venture Park to decongest the
traffic jams that became the regular reason for delivery faults at Maruti Manufacturing Line. In this
project, we proposed some new innovative designs that resulted in overall space saving at Joint
Venture Park.
