Responsibilities
SAP Workflow & PA / OM Functional & Technical Applications Operations, Details
of Main Tasks:
Operations
Applications operations support for PA / OM, Workflows, ESS/MSS & Interfaces specified
for the different countries.
Providing 1st level support to users; adhering to documented processes
Providing 2nd level support to processes where documented
Liaising with other fix groups and other plant based or central support organisations
within
Incident Management: Support and resolution of Incidents escalated to 2nd level, and in
some instances perform 1st level and 3rd level role.
Problem Management: Creation and full life-cycle management of Problem tickets for
relevant Incidents, including the prevention of Incidents from happening initially or re-
occurring, and to minimize the impact of Incidents that cannot be prevented.
Change & Release Management: Enable beneficial Changes to be made, with minimum
disruption to IT services in a planned and controlled manner.
Reacting to and taking appropriate action to resolve incidents identified by system
generated alarms in a timely manner
Recording, routing and monitoring all reported incidents using OPTIS to the clients’

Taking ownership of incidents reported by users, through to resolution
Adhering to documented BMW escalation processes
In the course of normal duties, identify and report discrepancies in documented
processes
Manage general queries in a timely and professional manner
Telephone and remote support to users in HR Module’s and management areas of the
business
Recording ALL incidents using the BMW standard toolset
Reacting and taking appropriate action in a timely manner to meet the needs of the
various HRI implemented countries.
Use of the standard knowledge database tools (currently Primus)
Monitoring logs for user queries
Leadership tasks
Ensure that agreed company policies and procedures are adhered to
Ensure user appreciation of the principles of system development
Provide assistance to users in evaluating system proposals
Ensure that team members adhere to the IT Application methodology and standards
Share knowledge and business process with team members to ensure that handover of
tasks is a simple and effective one.
Experience in MS office products (MS Word / Excel etc.).
