2. What is cropping system?
• The term cropping system refers to the crops, crop sequences
and management techniques used on a particular agricultural field
over a period of years.
• The kind and sequence of crops grown over a period of time on a
given area of soil

4. Sole/Mono cropping
• A system of cultivation in which a paddy is grown over a large
area of land often for several years.

A form of multiple cropping in which paddy is grown in
sequence on the same field, with the succeeding crop
planted after the harvest of the preceding crop.

allowing the stubbles of paddy crop to strike again after
