FUNCTION GENERATOR
USING ICL8038.
INTRODUCTION.
 The ICL8038 waveform generator is a
monolithic integrated circuit capable of
producing high accuracy sine, square,triangular,
sawtooth and pulse waveforms with a minimum
of external components.
 The frequency (or repetition rate) can be
selected externally from 0.001Hz to more than
300kHz using either resistors or capacitors, and
frequency modulation and sweeping can be
accomplished with an external voltage.

WORKING.
 The ICL8038 is a function generator chip
that can generate three basic signals such as
Sine, Square and triangle waveforms. The IC
has also provided room to adjust the
important parameters of a waveform such as
Frequency and duty cycle.
OUTPUT WAVEFORMS.
APPLICATIONS.
 The sine wave output has a relatively high
output impedance (1kΩ Typ).
 Its high frequency stability makes the
ICL8038 an ideal building block for a phase
locked loop_x0000_ _x0000_
ADVANTAGES.
 Less number of external components.
 Low cost
 Easy to bound circuit
 Generates precise waveform

