2. An example of Estimated effect in AMOS
Draw a theoretical model of your analysis.
In this example, we have one DV (Food preference),
and three Ivs (Food taste, Food quality, and Food
nutrition value.
We want to estimate effect size of IVs on DV.

3. Add you collected data in to SPSS

4. Open AMOS layout

5. Draw your theoretical framework in AMOS
Using different tools (Selected), we
can draw our framework, modify it,
edit it, and format it.

6. Import SPSS data
Using Select data Files Button we
can import SPSS file

7. Select Your SPSS file
Select you SPSS file by clicking file
name
Click ok

8. Add data set
Click List variable in data set
button to add your
variables
A window will open

9. Drag and Drop your variables

10. Add unique (unobserved) Variables
1. Using this button, you can add your
unique variable at exogenous variable
(Food-preferences)

2. Double click on unique variable and name it
(You can also click on Plugin tab and click name unobserved variables

Select standardised estimates
Close this window

13. Calculate estimates
Click calculate estimate to run analysis

14. Proceed analysis

15. Save your AMOS file now
After clicking proceed analysis
A window appears to save new AMOS file
Save this file

16. OUTPUT PATH DIAGRAM
If your analysis run successfully
An output path diagram tab will be highlighted
Click on this to view your results

17. Unstandardised estimated effect values
These are unstandardised results of effect

These are standardised results of effect

19. View Text
Click view text to view AMOS output

20. Click Estimates
You can view all the results of
analysis including effects its
significant level
