Fashion Admission Essay
I have always been interested in fashion in a creative way in not just my life, but fashion has also impacted my academic journey. From an early age,
I knew belonged in and wanted to be a part of the world of fashion, to not only build a life around Fashion but to make a career for myself in the
Fashion Industry.
This love for fashion began with me visually examining the red carpets of award shows and being infatuated with the ladies' long gowns and the
vibrant colors of their dresses. To styling my Barbie dolls and putting on fashion shows with the looks I had created with them. This creative intellect
continued to grow with me throughout my education. Starting in elementary school, I always enjoyed Art class. Entering high school, I was...show more

At Victoria's Secret, I was promoted to head of the beauty department and been trained on how to apply makeup for customers for private events
we held after hours the store. Because of this experience, I became quite skilled at doing makeup and was even doing makeup for customers and
employees outside of work. Wanting to return to school and enjoying the processes of makeup, I choose to enroll in cosmetology school. Starting
cosmetology school, I really enjoyed my time there and appreciated all the experiences I got to be a part of everything from fashion shows to
assisting with school occasions and cutting client's hair and doing their makeup. At the same time, I felt as though something was lacking. During a
week where we concentrated on studying the historical background of hair related to fashion, I realized this wasn't what I was supposed to be doing
this with my life. At this same time Victoria's Secret visual merchandising manager had come to visit my store over a year's period throughout his
visits, he saw how passionate I was towards Fashion. Each time he visited he complimented me on how great I was at visual merchandising and asked
me repeatedly why I wasn't going to school for fashion. After many conversations I had with him I knew for sure I didn't belong in cosmetology school
and wanted to return to Austin Community College. During a

My Journey to College Essay
My Journey to College
I first came to the university during spring break of my junior year of high school. At the time I was just visiting the three main universities in
Arizona so that I would be able to make an educated decision as to where I wanted to get my college education. There were many events showing me
the way to this university and little did I know that these events would come upon me and that they would show me the doors to the place where I was
truly meant to be.
I had a small thought in mind of becoming a chef or something else in the hospitality field. My mom had heard about NAU's hospitality college and
informed me that it was within the top ten. During our visit to NAU we met with and...show more content...
I then had the dilemma of deciding which dorm I wanted to apply for. This was a large decision for me seeing as how I had never moved in my life
and how this would be my new home for the next year. I chose Rielly Hall which was the best I could do by looking at pictures online.
After being accepted my mom and I made another visit up to NAU so that I could see the university with different eyes, eyes that new this was
where the journey of my life was heading next. We arrived at NAU and I was very excited to be on campus once again but with a completely new
perspective. I met with an HRM advisor and talked a little more about the program. At that time I learned all about their study abroad program. From
that information I decide that I wanted not to just be a hotel and restaurant major but that I wanted to be a full International Hospitality major. This was
going to be a little more work than my original plan but I would get to study abroad and experience so much culture.
After my meeting with the HRM advisor we headed over to the dorms to check them out. I ended up walking past Sechrist Hall first and was
approached by an NAU student who seemed to be about a Junior and was an RA on one of the floors. As he approached me he said "Would you like
me to show you around the building". Even

I feel bad when someone says they are not a morning person. That means for every sunrise, every chirp by a bird, they are missing out. Maybe they
heard or saw it before but they did not get to appreciate it for lack of positive feelings. Do they not see how lucky we are to be standing here? Luck

"So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit–/It's when things seem worst that you must not quit," are the lines that have inspired me, uplifted my
spirits and buoyed me up, when I could not see light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. I get the poet's simple yet meaningful message, never throw

Moreover, last year, I wrote myessay as a candidate for the AFS Intercultural program and was certain to proceed to the next stage. Therefore, I was
agitated for I was unable to understand the reason when I was not selected. I was angry and with angst raging in me, I almost did not recognize myself,
when, "often the struggler has given up/when he might have captured the victor's cup," changed my perspective and I found that I started adopting a
different approach – I introspected and thought about all the things that could have affected the result. Having done that I applied again, requested that
I be given another chance, which I was – and qualified! Eventually two months later, I found myself seated in a Lufthansa flight, headed to Stuttgart
in a group of twelve teenagers, to spend two months with my host family in the village of Hiemerdingen and attend school with my German siblings.
Had I allowed myself to give up, I would have never lived the sixty days immersed in a culture and surroundings dramatically different from mine with
a family who were strangers before I met them at the airport. (400

Digital Media Admission Essay
Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard
time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience
around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I
believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence.
My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a
photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was
either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me
with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always
considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I
also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more

I am currently holding an internship with Moji studios, and a couple of my coworkers have graduated under IFDM. What I've noticed with IFDM
graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a
career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. I
know IFDM can provide me with the tools that I

Summer Program Application Essay
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique
opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able
to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted
into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for
the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become

I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different
art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could
learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like
I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous
summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards
others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am
what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more
towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am

College Admissions Essay: The Art Of Drawing
I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. This quote by John Burroughs describes my diversion, outdoors. The
outdoors is a place to free myself of all of my stresses and step away from urban living. The activities that I am participating in do not matter, as long
as it is a new experience. Whether it is volunteering, trying a new restaurant, or simply going to the park, I appreciate the open–air on a beautiful sunny
day. At the FSU reservation I would be able to swim in Lake Bradford on the hot days or rock climbing on the wall available on the site to destress or
just to enjoy or a short getaway. Being outdoors also presents me with the opportunity to partake in the simple aspects of life that I would normally take
for granted and take notice of the condition of my community....show more content...
As the only child, of my mother, I often faced the problem of not having someone to play with forcing more creativity. I often did various arts and
crafts projects, but I found that I enjoyed drawing the most. With each drawing I become completely engrossed partially because it is a self–taught
skill that requires focus, but also because I must be patient with myself as I work towards what I envision and learn new techniques. The Art of
Drawing is a skill that I can continuously develop and perfect. The patience that my artwork teaches goes beyond the work itself. It demonstrates the
importance of accepting my weaknesses and working towards bettering them. I am able to properly release the struggles I encounter and not be
consumed because of my artwork. Creating my drawings is more than expression, but also self–discovery because I can be more honest with myself,
embracing who I am and what I feel. However, from time to time I do encounter "artist block" and the exhibitions held at the museum of fine arts at
Florida State University could provide inspiration much like my environment here at Spelman

I should be selected to attend the FSU CoM Summer Institute because I love learning, enjoy being challenged by hard classes and/or tasks, and I
have always had a love for the medical field. I grew up with my mom's side of the family being in healthcare, her being a doctor in Russia and a
nurse in the US and my grandmother worked in a lab. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I grew older my
attention turned towards people. I have always been very compassionate and kind towards people and I want to fix everything wrong in the world,
which of course can't be done. I decided that healthcare would be my best option, specifically being a surgeon. With this profession I will be able to
help save lives and influence the world in a positive way. I feel that attending the Summer Institute will help me decide if I really want to go into

The FSU Soldier
Young or old, these soldiers are all members of FSU whether current students or alumni. Each soldier plays a vital role within the unit, the
community, and ultimately the mission. These soldiers epitomize what it means to be a soldier in the United States Army and also be students here
at FSU. Because of all the blood, sweat, and tears that these soldiers put into there job, they are able to perform a wide range of missions including
security operations, route clearance operations, to breaching and clearing, and medically saving other soldiers lives. These soldiers can be deployed

As I begin to prepare myself for entering college life, there are a few concepts I plan to keep a focus on in my life so that I may be able to be a positive

Sustainability is an idea that we have been taught in different connotations that has influenced the way I choose to live by. To me,sustainability is
preserving ourselves and our environment to live comfortably but also to preserve the world around us for future generations to live comfortably. I plan
to take these thoughts into college with me by pursuing a degree in nursing where I know I can learn those skills through the Lutes' program offered.

This has a deep meaning to me because of my experience of four years in FFA; "Living to Serve" is a part of the FFA motto I choose to live by. To
me "Living to Serve" means putting others' needs above yours, using your life as a service to others and dedicating a part of your life to better
others, even if it's just one person. I have also embraced this motto by serving as the chapter and district President where I have dedicated a
significant amount of my time to better my chapter and district to improve the member's experience. This includes leading workshops for chapter
presidents in the district, holding chapter fun nights to build better relationships, and working with a team of five other officers to complete a
successful year. I have also demonstrated this belief in my life by volunteering my time for community service, such as a local animal rescue center
and also in small ways like taking the time to help fellow students with school work. I plan to continue this way of life into college by pursuing the
career I know will put my service to best use. PLU has a similar mission statement which assures me how well I can serve others while

According to Google Maps, the University of Kentucky is located in Lexington, Kentucky, and is a 6 hour and 12 minute drive from our home in
Wauconda. This is a perk for me because unlike FSU, I can drive home on holidays or long weekends, and unlike UWM, it is a little further of a drive
so you won't be expecting me to come home every weekend and I can have a life of my own. Although it is a bit of a drive, it's nothing compared to all

Abstract
The research focused on the ways in which flight schools can provide a specialized training format that satisfies goals for both professional and
recreational pilots. These are unique ways in which, flight schools can achieve flight instruction for students by providing a strong training format that
meets the individuals needs. Offering practical and theoretical skills to the students, and ensuring professional instructors. Also the use of modern
facilities and equipment for teaching students; with a strong emphasis for FAA standards during all phases of instruction. These are some ideas flight

Flight schools tend to use less commercialized airports for training flights this gives students training without the crowded airspace. (Flight Training,
2004)
Strong Training Format
In order for students to be fully prepared to take off on flights they are subjected to a specialized and strong training format that is followed by the
school. Aviation flight schools when training students should train them using modern equipment, and facilities. This will give students the
opportunity to learn what is currently used in the field of aviation. When the training is based on new and modern technology the students are in a
better position since they can fit in the field. (Flight Training, 2004)
Most of the Aviation schools have developed a structured curriculum, which is used to demonstrate various airplane systems which include a complete
set of working flight instructions to enhance learning opportunities. They use multimedia services and the Internet to gain more information on the
new developments in the field. A proven training system ensures that students are fully trained before they are given certificates to practice flight as a
career or for recreational purposes. (Flight Training, 2004)
There are many curriculums for a flight school to adopt, in fact some flight schools may have more than one to cater to the needs of their students;
such as structured accelerated programs, or a self paced pay as you go open schedule program.

The Year At Fsu Tuition
College students are struggling every semester to afford books required for their classes and this will continue if we allow professors, and college
bookstores to take advantage of us. College is already expensive. At FSU tuition is 6,000. Housing is another 6,500 dollars you have to eat so
that's 4000 for a meal plan and we can't forget about the textbooks and that will be about 1000 dollars. So for one year at Florida State that is
almost 18,000 dollars. Outrageous, right? Now that you know about these disgraceful prices. Let me tell you a story about me. The summer before
my freshman year at FSU, I was a carefree girl with goals to graduate with a high GPA and at least 2–3 jobs lined up for me to choose from. I arrived
to Tallahassee a couple of days before classes and I decided with all of my friends to buy my required textbooks before classes started. Little did I know,
what, I was getting myself into. I began my search for my books with my first class which was chemistry 1045. When I finally came upon the book I
was shocked. $120.00 for a used paperback book. Still in awe I decided to walk away and collect the rest of the materials for my Chemistry class.
Googles, a lab manual, a lab coat and an iclicker which all came out to be nearly $150.00 add the book and I spent nearly $300.00 for one class.
Most students need their textbooks to excel in their coursework but Students are being taken advantage of by professors that require we buy their

Why I Want To Go To College Undecided Essay
After looking through all the undergraduate majors, I have come to the conclusion that I will enter college with an undecided major. The one thing I

school isn't the end of my education. I want to grow as a person – no matter what field in college I end up going into – I want more. I want to be
smarter, I want to be happier, and college will lead me to that. Hopefully, these classes will do that for me. Even though I'm going into college

Fashion Admission Essay

  • 1. Fashion Admission Essay I have always been interested in fashion in a creative way in not just my life, but fashion has also impacted my academic journey. From an early age, I knew belonged in and wanted to be a part of the world of fashion, to not only build a life around Fashion but to make a career for myself in the Fashion Industry. This love for fashion began with me visually examining the red carpets of award shows and being infatuated with the ladies' long gowns and the vibrant colors of their dresses. To styling my Barbie dolls and putting on fashion shows with the looks I had created with them. This creative intellect continued to grow with me throughout my education. Starting in elementary school, I always enjoyed Art class. Entering high school, I was...show more content... At Victoria's Secret, I was promoted to head of the beauty department and been trained on how to apply makeup for customers for private events we held after hours the store. Because of this experience, I became quite skilled at doing makeup and was even doing makeup for customers and employees outside of work. Wanting to return to school and enjoying the processes of makeup, I choose to enroll in cosmetology school. Starting cosmetology school, I really enjoyed my time there and appreciated all the experiences I got to be a part of everything from fashion shows to assisting with school occasions and cutting client's hair and doing their makeup. At the same time, I felt as though something was lacking. During a week where we concentrated on studying the historical background of hair related to fashion, I realized this wasn't what I was supposed to be doing this with my life. At this same time Victoria's Secret visual merchandising manager had come to visit my store over a year's period throughout his visits, he saw how passionate I was towards Fashion. Each time he visited he complimented me on how great I was at visual merchandising and asked me repeatedly why I wasn't going to school for fashion. After many conversations I had with him I knew for sure I didn't belong in cosmetology school and wanted to return to Austin Community College. During a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Journey to College Essay My Journey to College I first came to the university during spring break of my junior year of high school. At the time I was just visiting the three main universities in Arizona so that I would be able to make an educated decision as to where I wanted to get my college education. There were many events showing me the way to this university and little did I know that these events would come upon me and that they would show me the doors to the place where I was truly meant to be. I had a small thought in mind of becoming a chef or something else in the hospitality field. My mom had heard about NAU's hospitality college and informed me that it was within the top ten. During our visit to NAU we met with and...show more content... I then had the dilemma of deciding which dorm I wanted to apply for. This was a large decision for me seeing as how I had never moved in my life and how this would be my new home for the next year. I chose Rielly Hall which was the best I could do by looking at pictures online. After being accepted my mom and I made another visit up to NAU so that I could see the university with different eyes, eyes that new this was where the journey of my life was heading next. We arrived at NAU and I was very excited to be on campus once again but with a completely new perspective. I met with an HRM advisor and talked a little more about the program. At that time I learned all about their study abroad program. From that information I decide that I wanted not to just be a hotel and restaurant major but that I wanted to be a full International Hospitality major. This was going to be a little more work than my original plan but I would get to study abroad and experience so much culture. After my meeting with the HRM advisor we headed over to the dorms to check them out. I ended up walking past Sechrist Hall first and was approached by an NAU student who seemed to be about a Junior and was an RA on one of the floors. As he approached me he said "Would you like me to show you around the building". Even Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. I feel bad when someone says they are not a morning person. That means for every sunrise, every chirp by a bird, they are missing out. Maybe they heard or saw it before but they did not get to appreciate it for lack of positive feelings. Do they not see how lucky we are to be standing here? Luck is the word. Unless you believe in a God, you have no explanation of why we are here. Pink sky full of grace Let me ride your orange rays Take me from this place There's a certain purity surrounding the air in the morning. Before we've had any time to sin for the day or to make a mistake. It's a brand new air, a brand new sun, a chance at reinvention. Reinvention of oneself, reinvention of one's actions. • 4. "So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit–/It's when things seem worst that you must not quit," are the lines that have inspired me, uplifted my spirits and buoyed me up, when I could not see light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. I get the poet's simple yet meaningful message, never throw in the towel, in every alliteration, simile, even rhyme scheme. When my cupcakes were undercooked, or when they collapsed on my second attempt at baking, "success is failure turned inside out", kept me motivated and I baked my third tray in a preheated oven in 350 degrees Fahrenheit for forty minutes and got absolutely scrumptious cupcakes. When I did not get a perfect score in the eleventh grade, as I was wont to till then, I did feel a pang of ...show more content... Moreover, last year, I wrote myessay as a candidate for the AFS Intercultural program and was certain to proceed to the next stage. Therefore, I was agitated for I was unable to understand the reason when I was not selected. I was angry and with angst raging in me, I almost did not recognize myself, when, "often the struggler has given up/when he might have captured the victor's cup," changed my perspective and I found that I started adopting a different approach – I introspected and thought about all the things that could have affected the result. Having done that I applied again, requested that I be given another chance, which I was – and qualified! Eventually two months later, I found myself seated in a Lufthansa flight, headed to Stuttgart in a group of twelve teenagers, to spend two months with my host family in the village of Hiemerdingen and attend school with my German siblings. Had I allowed myself to give up, I would have never lived the sixty days immersed in a culture and surroundings dramatically different from mine with a family who were strangers before I met them at the airport. • 5. Digital Media Admission Essay Throughout my childhood, I've always wanted to tell a story from my perspective. I was born with introverted tendencies, and I still have a hard time articulating to people my thoughts. But creating short films has always been an effective medium to express my true self to the audience around me. Most importantly, creating short stories helps me to understand who I am. I would like to be considered for the IFDM program because I believe I was born to tell a story, and I would like the experience of others to help shape my influence. My first experience with digital media started at Volcano VistaHigh School. Registering as an incoming freshman, I wanted to become a photographer. I distinctly remember registering for photography class, but I was stuck with digital media as an alternative. I like to joke that it was either destiny that put me in that class, or a huge mistake. Nonetheless, I instantly fell in love with digital media. My teacher, Jan Sherer, provided me with equipment and software to be able to learn the basics of digital media. Although she was unpopular by most students in her class, I always considered her a mentor. By senior year, I became proficient in most adobe products such as Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. I also learned different camera techniques thanks to her teachings. She also entrusted me with a cameraman job for the schools daily morning...show more content... I am currently holding an internship with Moji studios, and a couple of my coworkers have graduated under IFDM. What I've noticed with IFDM graduates is that their level of skills in the field they specialize in is astounding. Furthermore, graduates of IFDM have a higher chance of finding a career, or so I hear. I would love to take this program so that I can find my specialty in digital media, and mature those skills to a professional level. I know IFDM can provide me with the tools that I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Summer Program Application Essay The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become ...show more content... I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. College Admissions Essay: The Art Of Drawing I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. This quote by John Burroughs describes my diversion, outdoors. The outdoors is a place to free myself of all of my stresses and step away from urban living. The activities that I am participating in do not matter, as long as it is a new experience. Whether it is volunteering, trying a new restaurant, or simply going to the park, I appreciate the open–air on a beautiful sunny day. At the FSU reservation I would be able to swim in Lake Bradford on the hot days or rock climbing on the wall available on the site to destress or just to enjoy or a short getaway. Being outdoors also presents me with the opportunity to partake in the simple aspects of life that I would normally take for granted and take notice of the condition of my community....show more content... As the only child, of my mother, I often faced the problem of not having someone to play with forcing more creativity. I often did various arts and crafts projects, but I found that I enjoyed drawing the most. With each drawing I become completely engrossed partially because it is a self–taught skill that requires focus, but also because I must be patient with myself as I work towards what I envision and learn new techniques. The Art of Drawing is a skill that I can continuously develop and perfect. The patience that my artwork teaches goes beyond the work itself. It demonstrates the importance of accepting my weaknesses and working towards bettering them. I am able to properly release the struggles I encounter and not be consumed because of my artwork. Creating my drawings is more than expression, but also self–discovery because I can be more honest with myself, embracing who I am and what I feel. However, from time to time I do encounter "artist block" and the exhibitions held at the museum of fine arts at Florida State University could provide inspiration much like my environment here at Spelman Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. FSU Personal Statement I should be selected to attend the FSU CoM Summer Institute because I love learning, enjoy being challenged by hard classes and/or tasks, and I have always had a love for the medical field. I grew up with my mom's side of the family being in healthcare, her being a doctor in Russia and a nurse in the US and my grandmother worked in a lab. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I grew older my attention turned towards people. I have always been very compassionate and kind towards people and I want to fix everything wrong in the world, which of course can't be done. I decided that healthcare would be my best option, specifically being a surgeon. With this profession I will be able to help save lives and influence the world in a positive way. I feel that attending the Summer Institute will help me decide if I really want to go into healthcare and possibly what speciality I'm most interested in. It will also help me get a more in depth experience of what medical school is...show more content... I also have been on the LNHS cheer team for two years and plan on staying on the team for two more years. One more leadership position is my service learning project from my AP Human Geography class that I took freshman year. It required us to locally and globally influence people. For the local influence, I volunteered at UP Orlando for 32 hours when only 8 were required and my group volunteered about 140 in total, granting us the AP with WE Direct Service Learning Award for the most hours out of every other group in the school. For the global influence, my group and I sold wristbands to neighbors and raised over $400 to send to a small village in Colombia. 22 families were given a months supply of food and many of the residents were physically or mentally Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay 'FSU' FSU Essay As I stare anxiously at my coach, my heart pounding. He signals for a squeeze bunt, as I stand on third I ready myself. This run determines the winner, in the bottom of the seventh inning. The fans sit nervously on the edge of their seats, as they watch my team comeback from losing 10–2. What I do next decides the outcome of this game. My eyes lock in on the pitchers palm, ball in hand. She winds up, throwing her arm in a circle. As her arm reaches directly above her head, I take off. Jenna places the bunt aimed towards the pitcher, however, before she even picks up the ball, I glide safely into home. • 10. FSU Alumni & Friends Scholarship Many thanks for your consideration and your selection of me to receive the FSU Alumni & Friends Scholarship. Since my enrollment in the Graphic Design Program at Ferris State University, I have confronted many challenges and have faced many adversities, all of which have helped me grow and develop my skills as a young designer. One of the many challenges I have been handed is gaining the financial stability to provide for my education. Although working while being a full–time student is helpful at times, it does not go without difficulties. As I look towards the future of finishing my Bachelor Degree, I ask myself "what is it that I want to achieve and how can I make a dream a reality?" Through the years I have come to understand the role Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. The FSU Soldier Young or old, these soldiers are all members of FSU whether current students or alumni. Each soldier plays a vital role within the unit, the community, and ultimately the mission. These soldiers epitomize what it means to be a soldier in the United States Army and also be students here at FSU. Because of all the blood, sweat, and tears that these soldiers put into there job, they are able to perform a wide range of missions including security operations, route clearance operations, to breaching and clearing, and medically saving other soldiers lives. These soldiers can be deployed at any moment, which means they have to put down their textbooks and put away their Seminole hats and jerseys well later exchanging them with boots and guns. The soldiers of the 344th Engineering Company use these tactics and abilities to perform the mission and to become victorious in whatever the assigned task. No matter what journey you embark on, there is always a finish line or goal, in which you can only hope to reach. Fsu's Pride Student Report FSU's Pride Student Union aims to provide services and programs to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual and intersex students. Their goal is to provide students with a supportive environment regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. In order to promote this environment of acceptance, Pride puts on a weekly event called Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPOC), which serves to create a safe space for queer and trans people of color in the Tallahassee community. • 13. PLU Admission Essay Sample PLU Admissions Essay As I begin to prepare myself for entering college life, there are a few concepts I plan to keep a focus on in my life so that I may be able to be a positive influence and bright feature on campus. Sustainability is an idea that we have been taught in different connotations that has influenced the way I choose to live by. To me,sustainability is preserving ourselves and our environment to live comfortably but also to preserve the world around us for future generations to live comfortably. I plan to take these thoughts into college with me by pursuing a degree in nursing where I know I can learn those skills through the Lutes' program offered. Being a nurse and graduating from a program that teaches the important values...show more content... This has a deep meaning to me because of my experience of four years in FFA; "Living to Serve" is a part of the FFA motto I choose to live by. To me "Living to Serve" means putting others' needs above yours, using your life as a service to others and dedicating a part of your life to better others, even if it's just one person. I have also embraced this motto by serving as the chapter and district President where I have dedicated a significant amount of my time to better my chapter and district to improve the member's experience. This includes leading workshops for chapter presidents in the district, holding chapter fun nights to build better relationships, and working with a team of five other officers to complete a successful year. I have also demonstrated this belief in my life by volunteering my time for community service, such as a local animal rescue center and also in small ways like taking the time to help fellow students with school work. I plan to continue this way of life into college by pursuing the career I know will put my service to best use. This is a perk for me because unlike FSU, I can drive home on holidays or long weekends, and unlike UWM, it is a little further of a drive so you won't be expecting me to come home every weekend and I can have a life of my own. Although it is a bit of a drive, it's nothing compared to all the flights you will have to pay for if you decided to come visit me in Florida. After searching through naviance, I found that the total out of state tuition for attending the University of Kentucky is around $26,334. This is an important factor that contributes to my decision of attending this school. FSU tuition is around $33,231 and UWM tuition is around $26,687, which is less reasonable for me than UK. (Tuition and Fees) Although there is not a big difference in money between UK and UWM, every penny counts. I know money for college is a big deal, especially with having four kids, so the money set aside in my bank account and scholarship money will help us pay for my education. Ever since I was born, you have been putting birthday money, christmas money, etc. into my bank account and can add up to a lot throughout the years. I have also researched scholarships at the University of Kentucky that I am eligible to apply for. The "see blue." scholarship is for incoming non–residential freshman with a minimum ACT score of 25 and an unweighted high school GPA of 3.00 and provides $7,000 per year (Academic Scholarship Program). I will definitely be applying for any scholarships possible to help with college Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 17. I have always hated the question "where are you from" because it implies that only one place defines a person and that is not the case for most people. I grew up in Clearwater, Florida for half of my life and I spent the second half of my in Jacksonville. I consider both places home for different reasons therefore I guess that I'm "from" both cities. Family is very important to me, so being two hours away from home was a major bonus while choosing Florida State. However I chose to attend Florida State University mainly because it was right after my dream school on the list of colleges that accepted me and home of my family's favorite college football team, the Seminoles. Since the third grade writing has always been a torturous way for schools to grade me on understanding of a course taken or a passage read. I have tried to like writing but honestly I really do not like it at all. With that said I believe I'm not a strong writer because I struggle with grammar and often second guess my sentences. If I'm telling the truth I did not pay attention in fourth and fifth grade when we were taught grammar rules and sentence structure. At the time in my life I was much more interested in science, math, and playground time. Also I have always made weak transitions from one idea to another and lack on conclusion skills. I really have only had one writing based class and I'm hoping this turns out to be similar to that class. From this class I would like to learn how to apply an appropriate genres to a situation. I would also like to improve on my writing skills and gain valuable feedback on my writing both form the professor and my peers. I hope to improve my conclusion and transitions while writing because I feel like even with great content bad transitions result in a bad Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. The Year At Fsu Tuition College students are struggling every semester to afford books required for their classes and this will continue if we allow professors, and college bookstores to take advantage of us. College is already expensive. At FSU tuition is 6,000. Housing is another 6,500 dollars you have to eat so that's 4000 for a meal plan and we can't forget about the textbooks and that will be about 1000 dollars. So for one year at Florida State that is almost 18,000 dollars. Outrageous, right? Now that you know about these disgraceful prices. Let me tell you a story about me. The summer before my freshman year at FSU, I was a carefree girl with goals to graduate with a high GPA and at least 2–3 jobs lined up for me to choose from. I arrived to Tallahassee a couple of days before classes and I decided with all of my friends to buy my required textbooks before classes started. Little did I know, what, I was getting myself into. I began my search for my books with my first class which was chemistry 1045. When I finally came upon the book I was shocked. $120.00 for a used paperback book. Still in awe I decided to walk away and collect the rest of the materials for my Chemistry class. Googles, a lab manual, a lab coat and an iclicker which all came out to be nearly $150.00 add the book and I spent nearly $300.00 for one class. Most students need their textbooks to excel in their coursework but Students are being taken advantage of by professors that require we buy their specific edition, and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The one thing I am certain about is that I want to attend University of Illinois in Chicago. I've lived my whole life thinking about going into business or marketing, but I'm so unsure because I want to make the right decision. Throughout high school, all I think about is moving forward and starting my life. High school isn't the end of my education. I want to grow as a person – no matter what field in college I end up going into – I want more. I want to be smarter, I want to be happier, and college will lead me to that. Hopefully, these classes will do that for me. Even though I'm going into college undecided, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
