VOLLIES COMMITTEE
MEMBER
Organisational Environment
The aim of Victoria University (VU) Student Life is to foster
campus life and student engagement. Student Life facilitates
and provides a range of student based media, programs and
activities that brings students together, promotes wellbeing,
and encourages student development.
The VCM position acts to benefit VU students by providing
the Vollies Program coordinators with constructive feedback
on the various aspects of the program.
Overall Purpose
The key role of the VCM is to attend Vollies committee
meetings which will guide the Vollies program in key
program areas, including:
• Improvements to the Vollies program
• Social event planning
• Project planning
• Student engagement ideas
• End of year feedback
Major tasks
• Attend all Vollies Committee meetings;
• Provide insightful and constructive feedback to the Vollies
Program Coordinators in regards to agenda items at each
committee meeting;
• Offer ideas and suggestions to integrate into the Vollies
program in 2018;
• Assist in the planning of social events.

Application Process
To be a VCM, complete the EOI form on p.19 and return it to a
member of the Student Life team. If the Vollies Team receives
more EOI’s than the number of positions available, success
will be dependent on the level of engagement with the Vollies
Program in 2016.
All interested Vollies will be emailed shortly after Vollies
training regarding the outcome of their EOI.
Position title: Vollies Committee member (VCM)
Commitment: Three meetings per semester
Start date: 6 February 2017 End date: 30 November 2017
Hours per semester: Six hours (Two hours per meeting).
Note: Additional volunteer hours are up to the discretion of the committee
