C&KM Approach
• Use a range of dissemination approaches, from low-
tech to high-tech, to maximize reach:
– Print distribution to government, districts
– Face-to-face meetings, conferences
– SMS for service delivery support in communities
– E-mail:
• CoP group discussions
• Electronic newsletter
– Websites and web-based repositories
• Reach out to other projects with print dissemination
mandates to request materials be shipped to
government, districts.

– Collaboration site for Organization team
– E-mail groups
– Mini-workshops for knowledge updates and skills
building - such as BBLs
– Contact directory for Organization team

• Preparing and distributing work plans, reports

– Using the collaboration site and e-mail groups
– Setting up print resource repositories at national and
district offices
– Orienting and promoting use of professional searches

• Action: Develop How-To guidelines; orient and encourage team to capture program impact
anecdotes; package and share lessons learned through journal articles, conference abstracts,
presentations and panels
6. Support Organization team members professional development
• Orienting and encouraging team to use eLearning opportunities
• Orienting and promoting participation in CoPs
• Alerting team to sources of scientific and technical information
• Action: Prepare and disseminate catalogue and alerts

– Action: Link with communications reps at partner organizations
8. KM Capacity building and support of government
– Collaborating with government in enhancing their
website
– Building capacity of government – HEU in
managing website
– Exploring long-term web hosting options
