3. General guidelines:
• PhD Scholars are encouraged to utilize HEC 6 month placement abroad for research after approval to
research topic (Supervisors to facilitate and guide the selection)
• Senior faculty is encouraged to utilize HEC mobility grants.
• Faculty is encouraged to go for joint-research proposals where possible.
• For faculty (weak in research) may be assigned the task of organizing workshops/ invited lectures/
meetings and CPD activities.
• The faculty may target some journals with publication fee (low) for faster publication cycle (with
budgetary requirements)
• It is proposed to allocate Rs. 10 Million (WEC Budget) up to 0.5 million (per proposal) for research
proposals specifically up gradation of labs suitable for research activities (in-house/internal )
• Furthermore, a reviewer committee may be formed including external members for the evaluation of in-
house/internal research proposal.
• Other Activities (including but not limited to)
• HEC – Project proposal review)
• Journal Reviewer
• Membership of professional bodies and committees
• External Examiner (MS/PhD) National/International)
• Members GEC (External – other Universities)
• HEC approved supervisors
• Writing book chapter monographs
