1. Discovering OUR own fears
GOALS:
-To talk about what colours do they connect to fear.
-To talk about what kind of emotion is fear, that it is both negative and positive
and be aware about the importance of feeling fear for seccurity in current life.
- To share respectfully their main fears, and the ways they think they could
overcome them to feel seccure and calmed again.
-To develop creativity through drawing and colouring freely a personal picture
about their own fears, once they have discussed and decided by agreement,
what colours should represent better the fear emotion.
DESCRIPTION:
1. In 3rd course of primary, Teacher asks students what do they think about
fear. If it is a positive or a negative emotion. And why. Then, they discuss all
together about how positive is to fear some things or situation to be aware of
some dangers, and to be or become braver for overcoming them. When they
learn about how to be seccure and avoid dangers.
2. Then we decide, talking, what colours would be representative of the fear
emotion.
3. Each student thinks about their own fears, and those things or situations
that make them feel scared.
4. And then they decide and draw freely and individual picture about their
personal worst fears. They colour the pictures using different materials and
colours but bearing in mind the fear emotions. Some of them may choose not
to colour at all.
5. Finally we arrange an exhibition and we take some photos of the final task.
They feel so proud of the whole project work.
