HAPPY SONG
AS VOTED BY TEACHERS OF ZESPÓŁ SZKÓŁ
SPOŁECZNYCH IN KŁODZKO
…..and the winner is:
Remedium by Maryla Rodowicz
The song is now about forty years old! But for most teachers of our school it is a symbol of their
happy childhood or adolescence despite the hard times we were living at the beginning of the 80’s.
It’s been covered by many singers and had a lot of different versions but the original one still brings
good memories and a bit of nostalgia. Here are the lyrics in Polish and English:
Światem zaczęła rządzid jesieo,
Topi go w żółci i czerwieni,
A ja tak pragnę czemu nie wiem,
Uciec pociągiem od jesieni.
Uciec pociągiem od przyjaciół,
Wrogów, rachunków, telefonów.
Nie trzeba długo się namyślad,
Wystarczy tylko wybiec z domu.
Ref.
I Wsiąśd do pociągu byle jakiego,
Nie dbad o bagaż, nie dbad o bilet,
Ściskając w ręku kamyk zielony,
Patrzed jak wszystko zostaje w tyle /x2
W taką podróż chcę wyruszyd,
Gdy podły nastrój i pogoda
Zostawid łóżko, ciebie, szafę,
Niczego mi nie będzie szkoda.
Zegary staną niepotrzebne,
Pogubię wszystkie kalendarze.
W taką podróż chcę wyruszyd,
tylko czy kiedyś się odważę
Ref.
By Wsiąśd do pociągu byle jakiego,
Nie dbad o bagaż, nie dbad o bilet,
Ściskając w ręku kamyk zielony,
Patrzed jak wszystko zostaje w tyle
Autumn started to rule the world
It drowns in the yellow and red
and I don't know why I want to
escape from the autumn by train
To escape by train from friends,
enemies, bills, phone calls.
It doesn't need a lot of thinking it over.
You just need to run out of the house and
Get on a random train
Don't care about the luggage, don't care about
the ticket
Squeezing a green pebble in your hand
Watching as everything remains behind
I want to embark on such a journey
when the mood and weather are bad
To leave the bed, you, the wardrobe
I will not feel sorry for anything.
Needless clocks will stop
I will lose all calendars
I want to embark on such a journey
but will I ever be brave enough?
Get on a random train
Don't care about the luggage, don't care about
the ticket
Squeezing a green pebble in your hand
Watching as everything remains behind
