1. The Dilemma

Synopsis: Sevval William is a 19 year old female, who has a frantically
busy life. In attempt to live as an independent young women, she balances two
jobs, which she learns is not so easy. Her life becomes overly hectic when
she discovers food is missing from her fridge and that her bed has been made.
Realising there is an intruder in her house, you'd assume she was ready to
chuck him in jail at first sight however, it is not as easy as anticipated...
SCENE 1:
In scene 1, we have a panning shot showing the setting which is Sevval's
room, as the camera moves towards Sevval's bed we see her sleeping. A few
moments later her alarm goes off and all that we see is her hand coming into
the frame, turning the alarm off. She picks her phone up and then starts to
scroll through Instagram (evident through GCI). The last thing we see is
Sevval putting her slippers on and walking off into the living room.
SCENE 2:
In scene 2, we see Sevval opening the cupboard in her bathroom, dropping her
face cream too by accident, highlighting her clumsy personality, she does not
even bother to pick it up. Through the reflection of the mirror we see Sevval
washing her face and then drying it.
SCENE 3:
In scene three Sevval enters her kitchen and goes straight to the fridge,
grabbing some salami and cheese. She then toasts bread and begins to make the
sandwich, in a careless manner, as she takes a bite of her sandwich she sees
the time and realises she is late.
SEVVAL (CH1):
(sings to self)
"Fuck I'm late!"
SCENE 4:
In this scene, we witness Sevval day-to-day routine, panicking because she is
going to be late. We see her open her closet in her bedroom and pull out the
first pieces of clothing she sees, then she changes from her nightwear to her
work wear.
2. SCENE 5:
In this extremely quick scene, we see Sevval rushing down the stairs.
SCENE 6:
Sevval enters the kitchen again to get her sandwich, she realises it has
been bitten into however, as she is running late she choses to ignore this.
SEVVAL (CH1):
"I could've sworn I only had a bite, oh well I am running late".
SCENE 7:
Here we have a panning shot of Sevval's messy bedroom.
Scene 8:
We then see a black screen writing '6 hours later...'
SCENE 9:
We now see Sevval's bedroom clean.
SCENE 10:
We see Sevval opening the front door and entering her house.
SCENE 11:
Sevval runs through her corridor, upstairs and into her bedroom.
SCENE 12:
Sevval is in shock when she sees her room tided and begins to panic, the
confusion overtakes her emotions of panic and as a result she decided to
install CCTV.
SEVVAL (CH1):
(gasps)
"What on earth is.. I... I positive I didn’t do my bed, first the sandwich
and now this..."
3. SCENE 13:
She enters her living room and installs the CCTV, adjusting it until she is
happy.
SEVVAL (CH1):
(hums while adjusting)
"I'm going to get to the bottom of this!"
SCENE 14:
Here we will have a time lapse of the sunset and sunrise and in writing on
the screen, '48 hour later'.
SCENE 15:
Sevval comes home from work again, this time she immediately inserts the SD
card with the CCTV footage into her laptop, then viewing the footage for
anything suspicious, she rewinds the footage when she sees someone entering
her living room, sipping her tea and eating her food, then cleaning her
kitchen. She frantically gasps and puts her laptop to one side, slowly
getting up.
SCENE 16:
Here we have a series of snappy shots showing Sevval running around the
house, searching for the intruder underneath her sofa, underneath her bed.
SCENE 17:
In scene 17, we see Sevval entering the living room, as she is walking in she
hears a thud coming from her inbuild, unused cupboard. She slowly begins to
open the door of the cupboard and sees a man sitting there, the same poorly
dressed, which she now realises is also poorly smelling, sitting in there
with a duvet, eating biscuits. They both start to scream hysterically and the
male intruder now crawls around Sevval and out of the cupboard, onto the
sofa. Sevval calls the police almost immediately while she drops to the floor
in fright, trying to escape from the intruder, he runs over to her and grabs
the phone off her. He convinces her to have a chat with him, he explains why
he is homeless. The audio goes off and all we are left to see is there hands
meet, showing reconciliation.
SEVVAL (CH1):
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH"
ALI (CH2):
4. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH"
SEVVAL (CH1):
"Wh-Who are you? What are you doing in my house? I'm calling the police!!!"
*Dials 999*
OPERATOR (CH3):
"Hello, this is London's Emergency Service, how can I help?"
ALI (CH2):
"Please, just list- please hang up, hang up! Stop it! I'll explain."
SEVVAL (CH1):
"Ye- yes.. There's a, an int-"
*ALI snatches the phone off Sevval and hangs up*
ALI (CH2):
"I know you must have a lot of questions, but just give me a chance and I
will explain everything to you."
*Audio goes off and here we see Sevval nodding her head a bit of the way
through the conversation, as if understanding Ali's situation and the
circumstances – fades out into a black screen and explains 'three months
later'.*
SCENE 18:
In the final scene, we have fade in, we see Sevval carrying out her day-to-
day routine, getting ready for work, making breakfast carelessly, she is
running late yet again and calls out for help. Her help, the audience is left
to see is the intruder, who we have realised is homeless, runs in to clean up
after her. We learn that Sevval came to the conclusion that Ali can stay in
the downstairs bedroom, free of rent, for as long as he cleans up after her,
although this is seemingly a pact, a beautiful friendship has flourished.
SEVVAL (CH1):
"ALIIIIIII!"
ALI (CH2):
"I'm coming. I'm coming..."
The scene fades out.
