SVSF Scholarship Foundation Provides Education for Financially Challenged Students
1. SANCTUS VINCENZUS SCHOLARSHIPFOUNDATION believes that education is a key
factor in poverty alleviation, and one of its major thrustis to providequality
educational opportunities to the academically gifted but financially challenged
students.
Since 2004, 195 scholars havepassed SVSF portals,129 havegraduated as
teachers and business professionals. Thefoundation produced high performing
graduates and potential leaders, some of them garnered honors, either magna
cum laude or cum laude and get easy employment after graduation.
SVSF has partnered other institutions such : St. Peter’s College of Ormoc, Eastern
Visayas State University, Cebu Doctors’ University and St. Scholastica’s College-
Tacloban. Scholars enrolled in priority courses in Education, Business
Administration, Nursing, Medical Technology, Radtech,
To ensurecontinuity of the foundation’s cause, the SVSF officers and SVSF-
Builders, the fundraising armof the foundation has to raise funds, and look for
donors and sponsors. Although theprogramoffered is a study-now, pay-later plan
the payback returns is very minimal so that collection systemhas to be improved.
