Green Gold Society (GGS), a core community based government registered organization is
dealing with the under privileged children, unwaged youths and the senior citizens who are in
stress circumstances in an unconventional approach. The Society strappingly believes in human
potentials and dignity irrespective of socio economic status. As a right based organization, GGS
provides assistance to the target group people as personal and social responsibility rather than
as charity as per the desire of the enlightened donors.
The Green Gold Society aspire to reduce the effects of poverty and eroding social values and climate
change .The Society like to accomplish this mission by implementing various community based
programs addressing challenges faced by the orphans and vulnerable under privileged children,
unemployed youths , and senior citizens . The society is also organizing the programmers to
address against adverse effect of climate change.
Mission:
The Green Gold Society (GGS) as a nonprofit organization, aims at addressing issues and
problem relating to vulnerable children like orphans, abandoned, abused, juvenile delinquents
and child labour through under-taking both community and institutional programmes to their
rehabilitation in the community. Like-wise , issues of unemployed and under-employed youths
who t constitute major work force of the country will also be equally addressed for their
effective engagement and involvement in nation building activities. Domestic assistants and
construction workers would be provided necessary help including legal and to protect their
rights and interests. Senior Citizens of our country would be helped to lead a comfortable life
at their old age. Protection from environmental hazards and pollution will also get due
attention by GGS, GGS will also endeavour to provide humanitarian services to the needy
during the natural calamities and other emergency needs.
Vision:
Green Gold Society (GGS) aspires to address the problems of disadvantaged group of people
like orphans, abandoned, abused and vulnerable children, unemployed youths, construction
workers, domestic assistants and senior citizens.GGS will always be with the distressed people
affected by natural calamities. Thus GGS looks forward and cherishes to ameliorate the
sufferings of the vulnerable people of all ages thereby to integrate them into mainstream
society to enable them to contribute to the national development
Objectives ofthe Society:
Green Gold Society is non- profit organization. The main objectives of the society are:
 Development and empowerment approaches rather than charity approach are the main working
strategies of the society.
 Community based approach will be key to sustainable development for the society’s programs
and institutional programs will be provided to the society’s target beneficiaries’ only as last
resort.
 Services for the orphans and destitute
 Services for the senior citizens
 Services for unemployed youths
 Services for the persons / students with disabilities ( PWDS/SWDS)
 Services for transgender
 Services for unskilled labors
 Services for domestic assistants
 Services for street,abandoned and under privileged children
 Services for addressing adverse effect of environment
 Correctional services for those who are in conflict with law or who are in high risk to be anti-
social element particularly the juvenile and the youths.
 Educational support to students who are in abject poverty
 Advocacy program on critical social issues particularly affecting the children, women and
destitute.
 Responding to any emergency or crucial social or national issues effecting larger population
 Integrates its activities with nation building programs.
The Programs synopsis are :
শিশু বন্ধু / Child Friend Program
01.ShishuBandhu (Child Friend) Program :
The ShishuBandhu is a community based unconventional approached support program for
destitute, orphans and under privileged children with unique nature and features under Green
Gold Society. The has program has been started functioning in Bholavo Union, Rupgonj,
Naryangonj. The Program was inaugurated by Mr, Zulfikar Haidar, Director, Department of
Social Services.
The purpose of this program is to reduce the sufferings of the destitute and under-privileged
children and buildup their capacities and potentials. They will not be isolated or separated from
mother or nearest relations . In case of absence parent, care givers would be found from the
grandparent, uncle, aunt, and other relatives and community well-wishers who will provide
necessary care, education and other supports for their effective rehabilitation and thereby to
become productive citizens of the nations.
The prime distinctiveness of this program is:
 To improve the quality of life of the orphans and other vulnerable children by ensuring general
or technical education
 To train the local care givers in care giving skills to ensure that the children in question get
proper care,love and support.
 To provide education support to these children to make them good citizens to have better future.
 To create awareness amongst the community other stakeholders including sponsors/donors
about the need to protect the rights and support the orphans and vulnerable children
 To establish technical education centre
 To establish a half way home to prepare the child meaningful rehabilitation
 To support higher education for the meritorious students
 To create community awareness for shouldering responsibility for the care and protection of the
orphans and destitute through workshop, group meeting and using other tools
 The children are kept under touch of his/her mother, nearest relatives or legal guardians.
 Children are kept in his/ her own and known environment as far as possible conducive to the
children’s rehabilitation
 Orphans children would be helped to develop non stigma attitude.
 Local community (assigned body) is involved in the monitoring process of the program
 Child right, human right, protection from abuse and exploitations will be ensured.
 To stop the child from hazardous jobs
 To protect rights of child domestic child labour
 To ensure the proper heath and sanitation issues for the target population
 For running this program there is no requirement of land, infrastructure, gas, electricity
or fuel.
 The method of cash transfer to the target population will be made by banking channels
 To implement any other activities for the interest of target population.
Method of Cash Transfer:
All transactions are made through Banking Channel from the Green Gold Society Bank
account to the selected child ‘s Bank Account which is operated by joint signature
02 .Program for Senior Citizen
Like other parts of Asian continent the addressing of ageing problem is a significant agenda in
national development policies . The number of aged people is growing rapidly along with some
ageing related problems. Due to eroding social values, increasing molecular family and
mobility to the job place both home and abroad the suffering of the senior citizen is increasing
day by day. To address the problem the Green Gold Society has taken the Program JANAK
The main objectives of the Program are:
 To provide Medicare assistance for all senior citizens
 To provide residential facilities for the Senior Citizen who are in need of such services
 Protect the rights and privileges for the Senior Citizens
 Social awareness building among the community people to take the responsibilities Senior
Citizen
The specific objectives for the program for the Senior Citizens :
 To ensure participation of Senior Citizen in policy level
 To create the convenient environment in both home and outside for the Senior Citizen
 To provide Care -Giving Services to the Senior Citizens
 To provide counseling services for the pertinent Senior Citizen
 To involve Senior Citizen in local organizations
 To Provide recreational and other related facilities to the Senior Citizens
 To established Institutions/home for the welfare of the Senior Citizen
 To Protect the interest of the Senior Citizen
 To organize fund raising program for the cause of Senior Citizens
 To start help services for Senior Citizen
 To organize social business for fund raising for the senior citizens
 To involve senior Citizens in intellectual works
 To provide assistance bothcashandkindto the hard-upSeniorCitizens
Programs for the Youths
As per Bureau of Statistics (2003 ) it is estimated that the total number of children and youth
population in the country stands as approximately 65.7% of total population . . Out of which
26.3% are youth between the age group of 15-30 years. It is very essential to give appropriate
attention to build up this potential citizen. For better future and make the nation prosperous more
efforts need to be given by every stake holders both GOs and NGOs through achieving following
specific objectives:
 Conduct survey to get relevant data about youth including their need assessment.
 Establish Half Home for the Youth specially who an graduated youth from orphanage, destitute
home or any other institutions in the allied field
 Provide vocational, technical , ICT, Graphics, Auto Cad etc training
 Ensure job placement/ self-employment
 Provide grant/ soft term loan for employment/ entrepreneurship
 Develop entrepreneurship among the youth citizen.
 To protect rightist of the youth
 To establish global net - work for youth towards resource development
Environment Protection:
The Green Gold Society strongly supports the environmental protection movement at home and
international arena. The society is very much interested to do needful under-taking program in
this field attaining the following the specific objectives:
 Identification of the most vulnerable areas affected by the environmental pollution
 Awareness building program for sensitization of the affected group
 Appropriate project/ Program implementation
 Roof Top Gardening
 Promotional activities for using organic fertilizer
 Campaign against using the harmful pesticide and preservatives
 Group formation on environmental volunteer and their training.
 Campaign against harmful tree plantation
 Research,training, and publication relating to environmental pollution and hazards and the
possible related remedies.
Awareness Building Program for Construction Workers:
Construction workers are important contributors to national development. They have to work hard and
have to work in high risk working environment. But their interests, rights and problems are not yet
properly addressed. Construction workers always have risk of involvement in possible head strikes,
heatstroke, frostbite, adverse weather or hazardous contaminants . Some managers of small construction
organizations or those that employ undocumented migrant workers avoid the expense of hardhats and
other safety equipment and practices that may slow production or make construction costly or require
larger crews.
The scenario in our country in that most cases they have no training; even they do not know how
to take the safety measure. The Green Gold Society has plan to take a program for them under
specific objectives
 Collection of data of the construction workers
 Need assessment of the construction workers
 Awareness building among them through group meetings, works shop
 Provide training on safety measures
 Provide training on skill and professional quality development
 Execution insurance policies for the hazardous work they do
 Provide safety tools
Domestic Assistants Welfare Program
In our country possibly domestic assistants are most unorganized and unsafe labor force. There is
no statistics as their number, nature of works, age, salary, medi-care, sleeping facilities and other
related facilities of the domestic assistants. Their untold suffering and depression which needs be
addressed without further delay. The Green Gold Society has a plan to under-take following
programs to address the issues in question.
Specific Objectives:
 Conduct survey and research.
 Need Assessment
 Provide training on child rights, human rights, violence and abuse
 Prepare a code of conduct to be followed by the people hiring domestic assistants particularly of
the child domestic assistants.
 Day care Centre for the children of domestic assistants
 Provide legal support whenever necessary.
 Protect basic human right
 Advocacy for introducing registration system
Emergency response program
The Green Gold Society as an action- pack organization is ready to provide humanitarian
services specially in time of national disaster like flood, earth quake, fire , severe winter and
cold and summer hit, title bore, cyclone, tornados etc. as when as necessary along with
philanthropic activities.

Management : The activities of GGS is controlled &monitored by an 11 Members
Executive Committee elected by the General Members which is approved by Registration
Authority .

  • 1. GREEN GOLD SOCIETY (Reg. No-DH-04260) Green Gold Society (GGS), a core community based government registered organization is dealing with the under privileged children, unwaged youths and the senior citizens who are in stress circumstances in an unconventional approach. The Society strappingly believes in human potentials and dignity irrespective of socio economic status. As a right based organization, GGS provides assistance to the target group people as personal and social responsibility rather than as charity as per the desire of the enlightened donors. The Green Gold Society aspire to reduce the effects of poverty and eroding social values and climate change .The Society like to accomplish this mission by implementing various community based programs addressing challenges faced by the orphans and vulnerable under privileged children, unemployed youths , and senior citizens . The society is also organizing the programmers to address against adverse effect of climate change. Mission: The Green Gold Society (GGS) as a nonprofit organization, aims at addressing issues and problem relating to vulnerable children like orphans, abandoned, abused, juvenile delinquents and child labour through under-taking both community and institutional programmes to their rehabilitation in the community. Like-wise , issues of unemployed and under-employed youths who t constitute major work force of the country will also be equally addressed for their effective engagement and involvement in nation building activities. Domestic assistants and construction workers would be provided necessary help including legal and to protect their rights and interests. Senior Citizens of our country would be helped to lead a comfortable life at their old age. Protection from environmental hazards and pollution will also get due attention by GGS, GGS will also endeavour to provide humanitarian services to the needy during the natural calamities and other emergency needs.

Vision: Green Gold Society (GGS) aspires to address the problems of disadvantaged group of people like orphans, abandoned, abused and vulnerable children, unemployed youths, construction workers, domestic assistants and senior citizens.GGS will always be with the distressed people affected by natural calamities. Thus GGS looks forward and cherishes to ameliorate the sufferings of the vulnerable people of all ages thereby to integrate them into mainstream society to enable them to contribute to the national development Objectives ofthe Society: Green Gold Society is non- profit organization. The main objectives of the society are:  Development and empowerment approaches rather than charity approach are the main working strategies of the society.  Community based approach will be key to sustainable development for the society’s programs and institutional programs will be provided to the society’s target beneficiaries’ only as last resort.  Services for the orphans and destitute  Services for the senior citizens  Services for unemployed youths  Services for the persons / students with disabilities ( PWDS/SWDS)  Services for transgender  Services for unskilled labors  Services for domestic assistants  Services for street,abandoned and under privileged children  Services for addressing adverse effect of environment  Correctional services for those who are in conflict with law or who are in high risk to be anti- social element particularly the juvenile and the youths.  Educational support to students who are in abject poverty  Advocacy program on critical social issues particularly affecting the children, women and destitute.  Responding to any emergency or crucial social or national issues effecting larger population  Integrates its activities with nation building programs.

The Programs synopsis are : শিশু বন্ধু / Child Friend Program 01.ShishuBandhu (Child Friend) Program : The ShishuBandhu is a community based unconventional approached support program for destitute, orphans and under privileged children with unique nature and features under Green Gold Society. The has program has been started functioning in Bholavo Union, Rupgonj, Naryangonj. The Program was inaugurated by Mr, Zulfikar Haidar, Director, Department of Social Services. The purpose of this program is to reduce the sufferings of the destitute and under-privileged children and buildup their capacities and potentials. They will not be isolated or separated from mother or nearest relations . In case of absence parent, care givers would be found from the grandparent, uncle, aunt, and other relatives and community well-wishers who will provide necessary care, education and other supports for their effective rehabilitation and thereby to become productive citizens of the nations. The prime distinctiveness of this program is:  To improve the quality of life of the orphans and other vulnerable children by ensuring general or technical education  To train the local care givers in care giving skills to ensure that the children in question get proper care,love and support.  To provide education support to these children to make them good citizens to have better future.
  • 4.  To create awareness amongst the community other stakeholders including sponsors/donors about the need to protect the rights and support the orphans and vulnerable children  To establish technical education centre  To establish a half way home to prepare the child meaningful rehabilitation  To support higher education for the meritorious students  To create community awareness for shouldering responsibility for the care and protection of the orphans and destitute through workshop, group meeting and using other tools  The children are kept under touch of his/her mother, nearest relatives or legal guardians.  Children are kept in his/ her own and known environment as far as possible conducive to the children’s rehabilitation  Orphans children would be helped to develop non stigma attitude.  Local community (assigned body) is involved in the monitoring process of the program  Child right, human right, protection from abuse and exploitations will be ensured.  To stop the child from hazardous jobs  To protect rights of child domestic child labour  To ensure the proper heath and sanitation issues for the target population  For running this program there is no requirement of land, infrastructure, gas, electricity or fuel.  The method of cash transfer to the target population will be made by banking channels  To implement any other activities for the interest of target population. Method of Cash Transfer: All transactions are made through Banking Channel from the Green Gold Society Bank account to the selected child ‘s Bank Account which is operated by joint signature 02 .Program for Senior Citizen Like other parts of Asian continent the addressing of ageing problem is a significant agenda in national development policies . The number of aged people is growing rapidly along with some ageing related problems. Due to eroding social values, increasing molecular family and mobility to the job place both home and abroad the suffering of the senior citizen is increasing day by day. To address the problem the Green Gold Society has taken the Program JANAK The main objectives of the Program are:  To provide Medicare assistance for all senior citizens  To provide residential facilities for the Senior Citizen who are in need of such services  Protect the rights and privileges for the Senior Citizens  Social awareness building among the community people to take the responsibilities Senior Citizen

The specific objectives for the program for the Senior Citizens :  To ensure participation of Senior Citizen in policy level  To create the convenient environment in both home and outside for the Senior Citizen  To provide Care -Giving Services to the Senior Citizens  To provide counseling services for the pertinent Senior Citizen  To involve Senior Citizen in local organizations  To Provide recreational and other related facilities to the Senior Citizens  To established Institutions/home for the welfare of the Senior Citizen  To Protect the interest of the Senior Citizen  To organize fund raising program for the cause of Senior Citizens  To start help services for Senior Citizen  To organize social business for fund raising for the senior citizens  To involve senior Citizens in intellectual works  To provide assistance bothcashandkindto the hard-upSeniorCitizens Programs for the Youths As per Bureau of Statistics (2003 ) it is estimated that the total number of children and youth population in the country stands as approximately 65.7% of total population . . Out of which 26.3% are youth between the age group of 15-30 years. It is very essential to give appropriate attention to build up this potential citizen. For better future and make the nation prosperous more efforts need to be given by every stake holders both GOs and NGOs through achieving following specific objectives:  Conduct survey to get relevant data about youth including their need assessment.  Establish Half Home for the Youth specially who an graduated youth from orphanage, destitute home or any other institutions in the allied field  Provide vocational, technical , ICT, Graphics, Auto Cad etc training  Ensure job placement/ self-employment  Provide grant/ soft term loan for employment/ entrepreneurship  Develop entrepreneurship among the youth citizen.  To protect rightist of the youth  To establish global net - work for youth towards resource development
  • 6. Environment Protection: The Green Gold Society strongly supports the environmental protection movement at home and international arena. The society is very much interested to do needful under-taking program in this field attaining the following the specific objectives:  Identification of the most vulnerable areas affected by the environmental pollution  Awareness building program for sensitization of the affected group  Appropriate project/ Program implementation  Roof Top Gardening  Promotional activities for using organic fertilizer  Campaign against using the harmful pesticide and preservatives  Group formation on environmental volunteer and their training.  Campaign against harmful tree plantation  Research,training, and publication relating to environmental pollution and hazards and the possible related remedies. Awareness Building Program for Construction Workers: Construction workers are important contributors to national development. They have to work hard and have to work in high risk working environment. But their interests, rights and problems are not yet properly addressed. Construction workers always have risk of involvement in possible head strikes, heatstroke, frostbite, adverse weather or hazardous contaminants . Some managers of small construction organizations or those that employ undocumented migrant workers avoid the expense of hardhats and other safety equipment and practices that may slow production or make construction costly or require larger crews. The scenario in our country in that most cases they have no training; even they do not know how to take the safety measure. The Green Gold Society has plan to take a program for them under specific objectives  Collection of data of the construction workers  Need assessment of the construction workers  Awareness building among them through group meetings, works shop  Provide training on safety measures  Provide training on skill and professional quality development  Execution insurance policies for the hazardous work they do  Provide safety tools
  • 7. Domestic Assistants Welfare Program In our country possibly domestic assistants are most unorganized and unsafe labor force. There is no statistics as their number, nature of works, age, salary, medi-care, sleeping facilities and other related facilities of the domestic assistants. Their untold suffering and depression which needs be addressed without further delay. The Green Gold Society has a plan to under-take following programs to address the issues in question. Specific Objectives:  Conduct survey and research.  Need Assessment  Provide training on child rights, human rights, violence and abuse  Prepare a code of conduct to be followed by the people hiring domestic assistants particularly of the child domestic assistants.  Day care Centre for the children of domestic assistants  Provide legal support whenever necessary.  Protect basic human right  Advocacy for introducing registration system Emergency response program The Green Gold Society as an action- pack organization is ready to provide humanitarian services specially in time of national disaster like flood, earth quake, fire , severe winter and cold and summer hit, title bore, cyclone, tornados etc. as when as necessary along with philanthropic activities.
