Extent Community Smile (ECOS) was initially
developed in early 2022 as NGO and operates in
Tanzania mainland. In 2022, EXTENT COMMUNITY
SMILE (ECOS) was officially recognized and fully
registered to operate at national level with registration
number 00NGO/R/3868. EXTENT COMMUNITY SMILE
(ECOS) can operate in all regions of Tanzania mainland.
Annual general Meeting and Board of Directors govern
the organization. The Board of director “advises and
supervises” the overall operation of EXTENT
COMMUNITY SMILE (ECOS) and approves all major
policy decisions; ensures financial accountability and
provides direction to management in program
management. The organization has a strong and
complimentary structure, which fields with an
Executive Director, General Secretary, Finance and
Administration officer, Project officers and other staff.
This structure aims at placing greater human resources
closer to the communities with whom the foundation
works and strengthening program and project
development through team management.

To promote and support community to access
quality social services and all other human
support at all level in the community
To have a community where by people of all
categories are protected, cared and benefit
all human basic needs.

generation, employment creation to address poverty.

working areas.
Will provide sincere feedback to its beneficiaries and all stakeholders.

of the circumstances
Accountability and Transparency
Extent Community Smile (ECOS) shall hold itself and be held responsible
for all its activities and resources utilized within and outside the
organization
In our activities we will be ready to take, responsibility for one’s own
actions be willing to account for our activities and accept responsibility
for them and to disclose the results in a transparent manner
Extent Community Smile (ECOS) shall be responsive to all its stakeholders
(Donors, Government, Partner organizations, and Targeted beneficiaries)

Cost Consciousness/ Cost-Effectiveness
Extent Community Smile (ECOS) shall carry out its
operations through proper utilization of locally
existing resources to attain optimal performance
through innovative means while maintaining the
concern for environment.
OUR PROGRAMS

good education through our
sponsorship program. This is one of
our best program.
Different friends from around the
world take this blessing opportunity
to sponsor children through our
organization.
Main supporters of our children are
only friends not partners. We
welcome different group of people,
individuals, companies and
Organizations to support our
children to get quality education.
Most of our friends who support our
children pay school fees and
uniforms.
Until now, we have more 10 children
under this program. Most children
under this program are at primary
school level.
3. YOUTH AWARENESS PROGRAM
This is a youth platform; they meet and learn different things
about life.
Youths participate in different workshops where they learn
Entrepreneurship, health matters and Environment issues.
Capacity Building to youths on how to start income generating
projects. They learn about Agriculture and Animal keeping
techniques.
Youths must be innovative, so we encourage youths to innovate
new things and develop new ideas that can help them to their
lives.

Women empowerment is a program
that deals with women
Now ECOS has one women group called
Liberation women group. We empower
them economically; teach them how to
produce different products. Women are
very special group especially in our
community. They have to be
empowered.
We teach them about economic
activities, to be innovative, but also they
must know about health and
environment.
