a. Baryonic matter – (4.6% )ordinary matters consisting protons,
electrons, and neutrons: atoms, planets, stars, galaxies, nebulae, and
other bodies)
b. Dark Matter –(cold dark matter 24%) has gravity but does not emit light.
c. Dark Energy –(71.4%) a source of anti – gravity
d. Protostar – early stage of the formation of the star
e. Thermonuclear reaction – nuclear fusion reaction responsible for the
energy produced by stars
f. Main sequence stars – fuse hydrogen atoms to form helium atoms
g. Light years – the distance light can travel in a year, a unit of length
used to measure astronomical distance
