A noun is usedof a person, thing, place, idea,
andquality of a person.

4. • A) COMMON NOUN- It is the name given in common to every
person or a thing of same kind. Ex- boy, girl, teacher etc.

5. • B) PROPER NOUN- It is a name given to a particular
person , thing or place.
• Ex- Kolkata, India, Earth etc.

6. • C) Collective Noun- It is a noun of collection of persons
and things treated and spoken together as a whole.
• Ex- audience, classroom etc.

7. • D) Abtract Noun-It is a name of a quality, idea, conceptor
state.
• Ex- Beauty, Death etc.

8. • E) Material noun-It is the name of regarding materials.
• Ex- gold, tea, wheat etc

10. • In modern English Nouns are broadly divided into two
category-
• 1) Countable Nouns
2)Uncountable Nouns
NUMBER OF A NOUN
Note- generally before countable noun the articles such as a, an,
the can be written but in case of uncountable noun the above
articles are not written.
Example: countable noun- a glass of water
Uncountable noun- I need some rice

Masculine Gender , Feminine Gender , Common Gender
 Masculine Gender - A noun that denotes a male.
 Ex- Father, King, Cock, Husband etc.
