Mandatory Plant Pre-Start Completion
The completion of a Pre-Start on all Infraworks vehicles and plant prior to the commencement of
every shift is mandatory by Infraworks and our clients and is also a legislated requirement. The
effective completion of Pre-Starts ensures the safety of all personnel on site and is a key
component of Infraworks plant maintenance process.
Operators who work on Infraworks plant are held accountable for the completion of a Pre-Start
Inspection on Infraworks Plant through the Assignar App for every shift completed.
Each listed item in the pre-start must be physically checked and its condition recorded. Any
identified defects must be logged and clearly explained in the App. If the defect impacts the safe
operation of the plant or compromises its effective functionality you must contact your Infraworks
supervisor immediately and not commence any work until approved to do so.
The following procedures and rules are effective immediately;
1. New operators will be trained in the operation on each vehicle and piece of plant and
VOC’d by an authorised Infraworks supervisor prior to commencing any work. The training
will include how to complete your Pre-Starts.
Existing operators will receive this re-training and VOC in July & August
2. Operators who fail to complete a satisfactory Pre-Start will not be paid for that shift
3. New operators will not be allocated shifts to plant they have not completed a VOC on
4. As a matter priority Infraworks Management will conduct VOC’s on existing operators
5. Please sign and return this document immediately through the Assignar form. Operators
will not be allocated any shifts until they have agreed to abide by these minimum
operations processes and standards by way of signed acceptance.
