10. 10
The Good Confession
Therefore whoever confesses Me before
men, him I will also confess before My
Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever
denies Me before men, him I will also
deny before My Father who is in
heaven. – Matthew 10:32-33
11. 11
The Good Confession
13 I urge you in the sight of God who
gives life to all things, and before Christ
Jesus who witnessed the good
confession before Pontius Pilate,
- 1 Timothy 6:13
12. 12
The Good Confession
36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If
My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight,
so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My
kingdom is not from here.”
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this
cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the
world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone
who is of the truth hears My voice.” – John 18:36-37
14. 14
Repent of Sins
3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all
likewise perish.– Luke 13:3
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every
one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus
Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. – Acts 2:38
16. 16
Believe in Jesus
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die
in your sins; for if you do not believe that I
am He, you will die in your sins.”
- John 8:24

18. 18
Baptized into Christ
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved;
but he who does not believe will be condemned.
- Mark 16:16
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in
Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were
baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
- Galatians 3:26-27
…I stood on the step that enters into our living room from the kitchen having a deep thirst……I just had been at baseball practice all afternoon and I had quenched my physical thirst already….I had a spiritual thirst…I was looking at dad pacing back and forth…thinking about telling him something…he was at his desk doing some paper work with his glasses down on the bridge of his nose……I was in need of some living water….transition to being thirsty and having that feeling……
Finding this living water is of first importance (1 cor. 15:1-3)
Someone reminds me of this woman in search for living water…..Mama Hargett was the oldest member of this congregation at one time….she came to know Jesus and find this living
It was time that I find out for myself that Jesus is the Christ…I had already believed in him…but I had yet to fully obey him….Hebrew 9 says he is the author of eternal salvation to all that obey Him! (Hebrews 5:9)
I had read the stories of jesus and understood most of them…and understood what I needed to do to taste the life giving water……I heard for myself….not because mama harget and my dad told me…but I came to the conclusion that Jesus is the Christ…the savior of this world…you must do the same!!! There are some in here that need to respond….of first importance…not deer hunting…not your job…not school….not worldly pleasure but seeking for a spiritual life that will provide out life and peace and hope and love…
(in medieval legend) the cup or platter used by Jesus at the Last Supper, and in which Joseph of Arimathea received Christ's blood at the Cross. Quests for it undertaken by medieval knights are described in versions of the Arthurian legends written from the early 13th century onward.
