 The fact of the matter is that CO2 emissions are created
whenever electricity is generated; the amount that is emitted,
however, depends on the make and model of the vehicle.
 For what it’s worth, the pollutants emitted by an EV are
significantly less than those compared to a conventional vehicle
 With great technology comes great responsibility
 The reduction of fossil fuel emissions through the use of Electric
vehicles will help to prevent economic damage due to climate change.
Climate change causes a lot of damage to the global economy
 An average passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 metric tons of carbon
dioxide a year. and the only transportation sector contributes 29% of all
greenhouse gases. and 91% of American households own at least one
car. that’s a lot of pollution and what’s the solution? Electric vehicles are
designed to Eliminate Emissions.
 Are EV Are the Best Solution Towards Climate Change?
 The short answer- Yes, No Doubt
 Electric vehicle are an important part of meeting global goals on climate
change. but How exactly Are Electric vehicle different from
conventional petrol or diesel cars?
There are three pillars –
1. Greenhouse gas
2. Air quality
3. Earth extraction. The first is the greenhouse gas that it emits that
affects climate change and then the second is the air quality with toxic
fumes.
 The electric car seems to be a suitable instrument and a sustaining
measure towards a more sustainable mobility future since it is four
times more energy efficient compared to ICEV. Therefore, it is seen as
a milestone towards a ‘Great Transformation’.
 However, efficiency of electric cars can reach exemplary figures only
when electricity is provided by very efficient power plants and
infrastructure, best with renewable energy production.
 electric cars should be incorporated into a variety of modern mobility
concepts
The Impact Of Electric Car
Batteries:
 the extraction of rare earth minerals
 Life span of lithium-ion batteries
 Reuse and Recycling
 Towards Sustainablility
Indian Government Initiatives
to Promote Electric Vehicles
 The government has proposed the exemption of registration
fees for battery operated/electric vehicles to promote eco-
friendly vehicles in the country.
 The Ministry of Power has also allowed the sale of electricity as
a ‘service’ for electric vehicles’ charging. It will attract investors
into the charging infrastructure.
 Also, The government has granted an exemption to battery-
operated transport vehicles and vehicles that run on methanol
and ethanol fuels from the requirements of the permit.
 The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has allowed
16-18 years to obtain driving licences to drive e-scooters.

  • 4.  The fact of the matter is that CO2 emissions are created whenever electricity is generated; the amount that is emitted, however, depends on the make and model of the vehicle.  For what it’s worth, the pollutants emitted by an EV are significantly less than those compared to a conventional vehicle  With great technology comes great responsibility

Climate change causes a lot of damage to the global economy  An average passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide a year. and the only transportation sector contributes 29% of all greenhouse gases. and 91% of American households own at least one car. that’s a lot of pollution and what’s the solution? Electric vehicles are designed to Eliminate Emissions.

Therefore, it is seen as a milestone towards a ‘Great Transformation’.  However, efficiency of electric cars can reach exemplary figures only when electricity is provided by very efficient power plants and infrastructure, best with renewable energy production.  electric cars should be incorporated into a variety of modern mobility concepts

Indian Government Initiatives to Promote Electric Vehicles  The government has proposed the exemption of registration fees for battery operated/electric vehicles to promote eco- friendly vehicles in the country.  The Ministry of Power has also allowed the sale of electricity as a ‘service’ for electric vehicles’ charging. It will attract investors into the charging infrastructure.  Also, The government has granted an exemption to battery- operated transport vehicles and vehicles that run on methanol and ethanol fuels from the requirements of the permit.  The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has allowed 16-18 years to obtain driving licences to drive e-scooters.
