DUTIES
Review the duties of the FBLA officer
positions to determine where your

2. President
•Preside over and conduct meetings
•Appoint committees and serve as an ex-officio member to each
•Coordinate and participate in chapter activities
•Review program of work with adviser and officer team
•Maintain chapter correspondence
•Show interest in the activities of the other officers and inspire
them
•Encourage public relations in the community by contacting
speakers or guests for chapter meetings
•Represent the chapter at special school events, civic clubs, and
other out-of-school organizations
3. Grade-Level Vice Presidents
Four Positions - Sr. Jr. So. Fr.
•Assist the president in his/her duties
•Preside at meetings in the absence of the president and be
prepared to assume the duties and responsibilities of the
president should the need arise
•Oversee all committee work
•Serve as an ex-officio of chapter committees
•Prepare the chapter’s annual business report
4. Secretary
•Prepare the program of work once it has been approved by
advisor(s)
•Prepare and distribute minutes of each meeting
•Prepare monthly chapter report and submit to president, vice
presidents, and advisers
•Provide the president with an agenda for each meeting
•Count and record votes
•Prepare correspondence for the chapter president
5. Treasurer
•Prepare the chapter budget for the year
•Keep an accurate count and roster of membership
•Assist advisers with financial record-keeping
•Plan appropriate fund-raising activities
•Assist with the chapter’s accounts receivable/payable
•Encourage efficient money management
•Prepare monthly financial reports for each meeting
