1. These are examples of Magazines and their covers. The conventions
from what I see include that the contents is not always the first page in.
Often there is advertising pages before the contents. On the cover there
is often a big picture which may even obstruct the title of the magazine. I
may use this in my magazine to show what that issue will be about. It
also is the background for the whole cover. The cover also has a
colourful background with the main picture right in the middle of the shot
to catch a potential reader’s attention which is what my magazine will
need to do. Also the title is shown in a bigger font then the other writing
on the magazine as that is the title of the magazine I will use this to
make it clear what the magazine is about. The extra writing on the cover
of the magazine are features to come in the magazines (see empire
front cover). The date of the magazines release is also shown. The
contents of the magazine then covers the features of the magazine in a
bit more detail and included are the page numbers for these features I
hope to replicate this when I do my magazine. The contents page is also
made to look more spacious then the cover while also being more
informative.
