Significance of
Audience
and
Audio Visual Aids
Presentation!!!
- It’s the scariest thing for some people who try to hide themselves at the
sight of large audience, whereas for some people, it is as natural as their
being.
- The very word presentation makes some of us panic and we are ready
with all the possible excuses to avoid speaking in front of the audience,
whereas some of us look at it as an opportunity to express our views in
public.
Positive Attitude towards “PRESENTATION”:
- A confident and positive student is one who excels in the art of
presentation by overcoming his fears and nervousness.
- A good presenter is not the one who only presents his views in front of the
audience regardless of the fact whether they are interested in listening to him
or not…..instead, a good presenter is one who engages the audience while
sharing his views and keeps their interest maintained.
Few tips upon how to give an effective ‘presentation’ :
- Be confident.
- Throw your voice to the audience(Be Audible)
- Think before you speak and what you speak
- Communicate, not only verbally but physically too
- Interact with the entire audience to keep their interest maintained
- Highlight important points and lay stress upon them
- Take reviews and feedback from the audience

STEP I
The Material of PRESENTATION:
The first step in the presentation is the preparation of the material. Once
enough supportive material is collected, it should be given a proper structure:
how to begin, what to follow next, charts, pictures and so on.
One must always remember that the success
depends more upon the preparation than on
the actual presentation:
90% preparation and 10% preparation
STEP II
Controlling YOURSELF:
The second stage is exercising self control. One is likely to get nervous at the
thought of giving a presentation.
Stop at moments and take a deep breath to relax yourself.
Once relaxed, one can pay better attention to the other key points of the
presentation and speak up confidently.
One should keep the following points in mind:
- Maintain an eye-contact
- Stand Steady
- Keep shoulders back and straight
STEP III
Controlling the AUDIENCE:
After having control over your own self, now its time for acquiring some
control over the audience.
Try to find out the needs and requirements so as to make your message clear,
simple and easily accessible. The basic purpose of the presentation should be
such that the audience is able to comprehend the message easily.
Few tips on how to master over the stage to control the audience:
- Audio-Visual Aids
- Voice Modulation
- Question-Answer Technique
- If available, use relative objects to for
the better explaining of the presentation
Significance of Audio-Visual Aids:
Significance of Audio-Visual Aids
Audience plays an important role in judging whether a presentation is
successful or not. If the audience is involved and is enjoying the
presentation, they would give better response to the presenter thus making
the presenter much more confident.
Audio Visual Aids helps us in the following ways:
- Better understanding of the matter of content
- Helps the presenter in creating distractions
- Prevents the presentation from being monotonous
- A presenter is at his own comfort level when explaining using audio-visual
effects
- There is no bondage of words that could be associated to these audio-visual
aids
- Helps in bringing back the attention of the confidence to the presentation
This is what an unsuccessful presentation
might lead to:
This is how a successful presenter grabs
the attention of his audience:
Now you could be here someday, mastering the stage
?
Thank You
