Full time Resident Engineer on site, on permanent basis for Nuovo Pignone. Enhancing the Contract and all the aspects
to it related, by achieving important benefits for final customer and company. Carried on various plant review and
modifications that have brought great cost savings and benefits to customer during planned and unplanned outages
activities. Achieved important result by increasing drastically the MTBF and MTBM parameters of the equipment with
benefits for production and cost saving. For the first five years had the following duties beside of managing the LTSA
contract as the only presence on site:
• Mechanical, electrical, instrument and control assistance for the OEM equipment;
• Planner, preparation and handling of spare parts list for planned and forced outages;
• Customer personnel Training for OEM equipment;
• Performance monitoring and data collection with benefits for the reliability of the equipment;
• Involved with the customer and the Shell reliability team for the implementation of the plant reliability by
proposing modification useful to such purpose and achieving important improvement of plant production
increasing the total reliability to 99.7%;
• Retrofit of two Hitachi MS5001 by replacing control panel and turbine hardware and complete re-commissioning
of the units. Achieved important results for the company name by assuring delivery of the project in advance to the
scheduled target. Benefits and cost savings considering the poor documentation available due to the age of the units
and the need to re-design and re-engineering on site.
