This is a clarification that Mr. Fady Nabil Saad Basta a Mechanical Engineer, has been employed
with Mantrac Co. as a full-time Pricing and Technical Support Engineer from November 20, 2008 till
September 30, 2013. He worked 40 hours per week with a salary of 3,491 EGP per month in
Alexandria, Egypt.
Mantrac Co., headquartered in Alexandria, Egypt is the authorized dealer for Caterpillar products in
Egypt, Iraq, six African Countries and Western Russia. It provides Caterpillar machines for wide and
varied applications in the construction, mining and agricultural development sectors of the economy,
in addition to a complete range of lift trucks and warehousing equipment for material handling
needs.
Duties performed:
 Imposing standards for budgetary cost control process, timelines and specifications
with clients and managers by developing a system for standard work measurement
and detailed labour utilization through work sampling studies.
 Preparing reports and documentation to further understand workforce utilization
process, operational data, and project costs, layout of the facility, production and
maintenance schedules.
 Attending and undertaking relevant research, surveys, workshops and studies
towards developing standard inspection policies, international safety regulations,
quality control guidelines, installation and modification protocols withstanding the
engineering fundamentals and company’s principles of providing excellent service.
 Works on customer's requisitions and analyses them in details to determine
required equipment, specifications and models. Understanding the project team’s
organizational chart. Assessing project information, labour responsibilities and
functionalities to meet the requirements and determine the areas of work
duplication.
 Prepares quotations as required in conjunction with the concerned sales
representative. Ensures that all technical and financial elements are covered as
required by customers and approved by sales and top management.
 Coordinates with sales representatives to follow up all issued tenders.
 Reports to sales support manager on quotations prepared monthly. Maintains files
for different offers.
 Studying the needed materials for construction. Establishing detailed specifications
and requirements for manufacture, layout, delivery schedules, flows and capacities
of the plant. Gathers information on suppliers’ prices and terms to be used in quote
preparation.
 Review customer entry forms; ensure that they are technically adequate pricing
sheets.
