3. Kallithea, Rhodes, Greece
Elysium Resort Hotel and Spa
Extensively involved in the various phases of the
project over a two-year period. This luxury hotel
had a total budget of EUR110M. The project I
was responsible for at IGC included over EUR15M
worth of materials over that time period.
Responsibilities:
• Met with Building and Interior Architects to
define their needs.
• Provided solutions that met their design,
technical, and budget requirements.
• Anticipated and informed the architect and/or
contractors of special requirements that
needed to be considered on the building plans
• Planned the purchase, inspection and delivery
of over 1000 different elements in accordance
with the project timelines.
• Responsible for on-site troubleshooting in a
high pressure setting constrained by strict
schedules.
4. The Elysium is comprised of one main building
(right) which includes all of the common areas,
Spa, and Elite Wing with private reception desk,
and two additional buildings that include over 300
Deluxe Guestrooms.
Deluxe Guestroom elements were provided to meet
strict requirements:
• Trevira CS curtains for flame retardancy
• 40,000+ Martindale fabrics for abrasion resistance
• Concealed cistern with 400kg load bearing capacity
• Acrylic bathtubs with molded anti-slip relief
• Tile floor coverings with R9 slip resistance
• Jatoba engineered hardwood floors for durability
and easy replacement
• Two twin box-springs on KS beds for easy
reconfiguration
5. Presidential Suite elements were chosen for their exquisite
design and craftsmanship:
• Poltrona Frau hand-stitched sofa, armchair, dining chairs,
leather desk and screen
• Kvadrat laser cut sheer curtains
• Mirage ceramic granite with patented manufacturing process
• Kohler sinks with chrome base, Gessi faucets and Antonio Lupi
mirrors
• Jacuzzi Shower with glass enclosure
• Parador hardwood flooring
• Bisazza Glass mosaic with 24k gold as wall covering
• Duravit whirltub with chromatherapy
6. Additional responsibilities:
• Providing accurate estimates also used for project financing
• Negotiating prices with suppliers to respect margins
• Overseeing the order process to avoid errors
• Communicating product specifications for smooth installation
• Anticipating issues and being pro-active to ensure project success
• Planning for major risks such as port worker strikes and damaged goods

8. The Serenity Spa was beyond what we could undertake. We found a German company
specializing in Spa design and subcontracted the project. IGC was directly responsible for all
coverings for this environment with special contours and temperature requirements.

11. The complexity with this project was in perfectly
timing the arrival and delivery of materials for
the 250 bathrooms. Wall and floor coverings
came from several different suppliers and had
different properties, requiring special planning
during the ordering and installation process.
The remote location of this complex was another
element to consider. Dirt roads would slow down
the delivery process and there was always the
risk of a truck getting stuck in the mud. All of
these possible delays needed to be considered
when estimating project costs in order to remain
profitable.

13. The Apollo Blue Spa and Wellness was
IGC’s second Spa project. This was partially
subcontracted to the same German Spa
specialist that was working on the Elysium
project. I worked with the owners to
provide them with all the coverings and
finishing materials for this project. Special
consideration had to be given to materials
and adhesives to be used on continuously
wet surfaces and high humidity areas.
This was a success and we also went on
to supply them all bathroom fixtures and
sanitary ware for all the hotel rooms.

There was a 3-year construction boom in luxury hotels
between 2005 and 2008 on the island of Rhodes.
During this time, I would manage between 7-12 projects
at the same time with some projects spanning the entire
3-yr period.
18. The Argo is a well-established
high-end seafood restaurant.
The building location results in
excessively wear and tear, due
to crashing waves hitting the
property during winter.
The building was knocked
down and rebuilt. Everything
had to be replaced. I worked
with the Interior Architect to
fulfill requirements for flooring
and wall coverings, all the way
to seating, table linens and
dinnerware. I also worked with
an advertising company for the
rebranding.
Because this was a seasonal
business, the schedule had to
be respected and no delays
were possible. The Argo
opened 10 days ahead of
schedule.
19. This is the final

menu which
included the new
logo to be used on
all signage and
documents.
As a liaison
between the
owner, interior
architect and
rebranding
consultants, my
responsibility was
to ensure all
needs were being
addressed and to
ensure proper
coordination of
overlapping
project phases.
21. This government project was an interesting challenge. I was given the responsibility of sourcing the most important
element of this project, the bricks.
Firstly, a list of possible suppliers had to be created. Following that, samples were requested that fit the colour, shape
and size requirements. Special properties that met engineering standards had to be present and proven through lab
tests. Lastly, on-site testing was necessary before committing to a final decision concerning the product.
Special consideration had to be given when estimating in order to include costs related to the lengthy approval
process.
24. As Project Manager at
IGC, I was responsible for
designing, estimating,
ordering, planning as well
as the delivery and
installation of custom
residential projects.
Custom work included
kitchens, wardrobes, and
bathrooms. Other design
elements such as lighting,
furniture, and interior
doors would be included
to complete the home
interior design project.
25. Projects varied from high end luxury estates, to villas for resale, to rental
properties. Renovated properties were the trickiest due to old load
bearing walls that could not be removed, height restrictions from
shorter ceilings, as well as crooked walls.
Additional responsibilities:
• measuring areas to ensure a perfect fit
• communicating electrical, plumbing and any other specs needed to
the contractors
• providing designs for installation purposes
26. In such a small space, precision in design is critical. Electrical wiring for light fixtures and whirlpool tubs needs to be
prepared and plumbing needs to be perfectly aligned to accommodate the fixtures and sanitary ware.
For project success:
• An initial visit to present plans and guidelines and answer all questions related to the design
• Several subsequent visits required to ensure that the project remains on track (time, cost and quality)
• Quality control is frequent in order to limit possibilities of human error
• The client is continuously informed and updates on the progress to ensure satisfaction
27. This is not a comprehensive portfolio.
It is an example of projects I managed while I was Project Manager at IGC.
My first residential custom project had a total budget of EUR100k. The average project was approx. EUR40k.
The biggest, and longest, project I managed was for the Elysium Hotel for EUR15M over a two-year span.
In total, I managed 7-12 different hotel projects and 2-3 residential projects at any given time.
NOTES
28. Since then, I have worked on
diverse projects in Sales, Marketing
and Brand Management.
Some project examples include:
• Completely restructuring the sales
force, sales territories and
commission structure
• Creating a new inventory
management system that minimize
overstock and increases margins
• Developing a marketing calendar
within budget with a frequency that
increases overall brand awareness
29. I’m looking forward to new projects that will be as rewarding as they are challenging.
