PROFILING
Engr. Khairulmuzammil is currently an Independent Non Exclusive Principal Advisor/Surveyor/Auditor/Consultant
serving maritime companies and classification societies such as Bureau VERITAS (BV), INTERMARITIME
Certification Services (ICS) and Qualitas Register of Shipping (QRS)
Engr. Khairulmuzammil received Certificate in International Safety Management(ISM) from Australian Maritime
College in year 1997.
In year 1998, Engr. Khairulmuzammil received Certificate, Quality Assurance Level III i.e. qualification in
Quality Management and Quality Assurance
After successfully completing ISM practical training, Engr. Khairulmuzammil in year 2003 received Certificate of
Competency from Det Norske VERITAS (DNV), Hoevik, Norway certifying him as DNV ISM External Auditor. In
DNV, he also performed certification of company, material and product.
In year 2003, Engr. Khairulmuzammil received Certificate in International Ship and Port Facility Security Code
(ISPS) from International Maritime Security (UK) & Indian Register of Shipping (IRS). He also received Certificate
in ISO Internal QMS Auditor from PSB Corporation, Singapore certified by International Register of Certificated
Auditors, IRCA (UK).
In year 2008, after 5 years serving Ships Classification Malaysia (SCM), Engr. Khairulmuzammil has been
appointed as General Manager (GM). He was involving in the setting up SCM Maritime Security Unit , a unit
which is responsible in carrying out ISPS Code Consultancy and Certification Services and developing market areas,
internal procedures and approval and audit guidelines. He was also SCM ISO, ISM and ISPS Lead Internal Auditor
and Trainer.
In year 2012 and 2014, Engr. Khairulmuzammil received an authorization from Intermaritime Certification Services
and Qualitas Register of Shipping respectively to perform ISM and ISPS for both Panama classed vessel.
In summary, after more than 20years serving the local and international maritime and shipping, Mr.
Khairulmuzammil has acquired vast skills, knowledge and experiences in maritime quality, safety and a security
management project design, development and auditing as summarized in the table below:
