Control of safety and security of Ship Operation and Site of Bunkering Company with refer of ISM, ISPS,
IMS, HSE
Managing Tankers, serving as DPA & CSO, I was responsible for:
AS DPA;
- Effective implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS);
- Organise shipboard safety audits and monitors emergency exercises to verify compliance with the SMS
and ensure that any deficiencies so identified are rectified;
- Ensuring that all reported non-conformances; accidents and dangerous occurrences (near misses) are
investigated ashore;
- Monitor shipboard safety and pollution prevention activities so as to ensure safe and efficient ship
operations;
- Ensure sea staff and office employees understand the SMS;
- Identify training requirements with respect to shore-based personnel involved with the SMS.
And as CSO;
4. - Advising the level of threats likely to be encountered by the ship, using appropriate security
assessments and other relevant information;
- Ensuring that ship security assessments are carried out;
- Ensuring the development, the submission for approval, and thereafter the implementation and
maintenance of the ship security plan, including it’s modification, as appropriate, to correct deficiencies
and satisfy the security requirements of the individual ship;
- Arranging for internal audits and reviews of security activities;
- Ensuring that deficiencies and non-conformities identified during internal audits, periodic reviews,
security inspections and verifications of compliance are promptly addressed and dealt with;
- Enhancing security awareness and vigilance, including adequate training for personnel responsible for
the security of the ship.
As a Senior Expert & Lead Auditor for ISM & ISO 9001 system & certification & member of promotion
committee, I was responsible for:
- Conducting ISM internal audit of vessels and shore department for the implementation and compliance
of Safety Management System;
- Attending as owner representative during the ISM External audits of vessels and shore departments by
Classification Society Auditors;
