The 6th conference of the International Society for Arabic Papyrology (ISAP) explores, on the one hand, the use of documentary evidence for the history of the Early Islamic world, including Arabic, Coptic, and Greek papyri, inscriptions and coins, and, on the other, research on Semitic languages and writing systems in general. The conference program includes several presentations relevant to the early Islamic history of Iran.
