1. Costumes
These costumes have been specifically chosen because it will suit the genre of
documentary that I am doing. I have a range of costumes, some for students and
then teachers. These are the main costume types that are in schools, mainly being
smart.
The school will show rebelliousness similar to Educating Essex.
The head teacher will be stereotypical older man. I am making
people wear clothing specific to school environment, so by
having the uniform on it fits the documentary style.
2. Props
These props have been chosen as they used in school daily, so therefore
thought it would be suitable to choose these props that are always seen
around school.
These are typical school things that kids carry around in there bags and
leave them lying around in classrooms, I generalised props to the typical
expectations of what is found in a school. However the might be the
occasional kid who hasn’t got equipment.
3. Location
The location, is obviously in a school setting to really get the feel of the
school community and sense. I have a variety of different locations as seen
above around the school, to highlight the genre. The documentary I am
following will be based on the documentary Educating Essex. Part of the
location will be based in the classrooms showing the lives of students.
I want the location to be in a school as that’s the genre, the audience will be able to get
the most realistic image of the documentary by having the location as the school.
Having students around makes it more realistic. I am going to use voiceover to follow
the codes and conventions of a basic documentary, whilst actions are taking place.
