1. Mise en Scene
Se#ng:
The sets of the opening scene were chosen to be3er show the
educa7onal environment that the scene needs, as the film is about
bullying and bullying o>en happens in a classroom. We are using the
college Performing Arts building corridor, as it is an open space and
easy to film in and get good camera angles due to the wide spaces. It
also connects to our next set which would let us use a reverse shot
into both sets if need be. Also, we are using the back entrance of the
college for our outdoor scenes to help connect our characters to out
side world.
Costume:
Costume will be every day student clothing although the more
aggressive characters e.g. the bully’s, would preferably be wearing
clothing like hoodies and baggy clothing such as track suits whereas
the the vic7m may wear more provoca7ve clothing with dark
colours.
Props:
As the environment of the film is mainly a college, par7cular props
will be included to create this atmosphere. Some quintessen7al
college items include tables, chairs and books. These props would
create a college atmosphere, meaning that a typical teen audience
can associate with the environment.

3. Edi7ng Techniques
Cuts:
Some of the most typical cuts in film are a cut to black which can be used in almost any situa7on e.g. man has just been knock
cold and the camera is posi7oned so that it looks like the characters point of view a cut to black would represent him/her being knock out a
cut to black can also be used to show the end of a scene and the change to a completely new one.
Another useful cut is the dissolve cut this is when a shot dissolves into the next shot this can be applied in many different situa7ons it can be
used in the transi7ons of the different scene however these would not be good for ac7on scene because an ac7on scene must be at a
quick pace instead of the slow pace of a dissolve or a fade to black because they take to long and we would miss half the ac7on.
Cap6ons
Are cap7ons for are opening are very in sink with what the genre of are film is social realism and although we haven't discussed the design of
them we know that they will be model on the cap7ons of over films in this genre like lock stock and shi>y.

5. Film schedule
first week of filming will take pace in Reigate town square were we will film are chase scene between the
bully’s and the vic7m the sites within the town square are as follows Morrison's car park the bridge out
near the college and also near the town clock tower/café Nero.
Second week of filming has yet to be decided on wear filming will take place however we know that it will be
about are car accident scene.
The rest of are 7me will be spent on edi7ng are footage as well adding in are music tracks and are 7tles to the
film this will most likely take us as a group the rest of the 7me that we have been given.
