1. This is a drawn
storyboard being rough
and sketchy. I labelled
the different shot types
in each box so then
when I look back at it, I
have a rough idea of
what I want to film and
what will work best for
the documentary type I
am producing. I found
using a storyboard was
really beneficial as it
enabled me to follow
the structure when it
came to film and
produce my
documentary.
2. Range of shot types around the school
site- people in the natural act.
More shots around school with
students walking past-narration over
top and music
Mid Shot- Head of sixth from interview
style
More shots around the school with
students- long shot
Mid shot- interview located in the
media suite
Pan shot- students working on projects
Mid shot- interview located in a
classroom
Mid shot- interview located in media
suite.
This is a more
Developed
story board of
my
documentary
and the
structure of it.
I vaguely
followed the
drawn on
some
elements of it
however, I
didn’t involve
archive
footage. I
tried to follow
the basic
structure of
the drawn
one however.
3. Photos (location and shot type)
As further research for the
storyboard, I went around
school to take a variety of
photos which will be
similar to what I am going
to film. I went to some of
set locations in which I
intend to shoot.
