This document provides an overview of an alumni management system project for Sylhet International University. It discusses the motivation for creating the system to improve communication between current students and alumni for guidance, internships, and industry knowledge. The system will provide administrative, alumni, and student features through a website. It will use a waterfall model methodology, with separate sequential phases for requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Although our University website is quite attractive but it lacks with the feature of com-
munication with the alumnus.
• This creates a problem for the current students in terms of guidance , internships,
industrial knowledge.
• It also lacks the instant solution to the problem which are related to education and
carrier.
• It does not provide any idea about the news and current status of jobs in different
companies and industry

8. Methodology
We use the waterfall model in our project, it is also referred to as a linear sequential life cycle model. It is very
simple to understand and use. In this model ,each phase must be completed before the next phase can begin
and there is no overlapping in the phases. At the end of each phase, a review takes for place to determine if the
project is on the right path and whether or not to continue or discard the project. A schedule can be set with
deadlines for each stage of development and product can proceed through the development process model
phases one by one. In this model software testing starts only after the development is complete.
