2. Name - Isabella O’Higgins
Nickname - Izzy
Age - 17
I asked Izzy to be the model for my front cover mainly because she has
a very natural look and would be a suitable model for the target
audience to look up to. Her friendly face would be inviting to the
young audience giving the feel of a friendly face. She is very beautiful
and had modelled for her friends before this contributed into me
choosing her as I knew she would be comfortable and not shy in front
of the camera. I asked her the ware black as I intend on having a black
and white cover. The black modern turtle neck would contrasts agents
the harsh white backing but also her pale completion. I asked her
when she did her makeup to keep it very natural and light as this is the
type of look that would intrigue my audience the most as most of
them will have a similar modern style to her. I also asked her to keep
her hair natural for a similar reason; but also the curls would frame her
face better. I also asked her to pin back her top layer of hair so the I
would be able to see her full face. The picture at the top is her
Facebook profile picture, This is the normal look that she would wear
and the image below is how I asked her to look on the day of the
shoot. The image below was one of my test shoots to look at lighting
and the way she was sat on the chair.
3. Name – Eden Sheldon-Cooper
Age - 17
I asked Eden to be my double page spread model due to her indie look.
She has also previously modelled for her photography friends
therefore I knew that he would feel confident enough to do full body
images of her and a guitar. I asked her much like I did Izzy to keep her
makeup very natural and simple this is also as an indie performer
would wear her make up. When she asked me how to do her hair I
asked her if she could have a slight curl in the lower half as this is a
very modern look and typical indie look but I also asked her to brush it
off her face so I could clearly pick up all her features on the images I
would take. I asked her to wear an eye catching vibrant patented
dress. Her dress was perfect as the bright colours contrasted agents
the white background creating a 3D feel to the image. I also asked her
the wear some brown boots as for the long full body shots they will
again stand out but they would help draw the whole image together
complementing the guitar I intended to use. The image above shows
her everyday look and as you can see she didn’t have to change her
style much for the shoot as she has the perfect look for my images but
also the perfect look at attract my target audience.
