4. Adaption
ofthe
LessonPlan:
I think that the questions are important for the
students to discuss during the lesson, but I would alter
some of the question format and slide organization.
I would space out information and add visuals
throughout the presentation.
5. WhatIEnjoyed:
I think it is important for Marketing majors to learn
about the stock market crash as one of their first
courses because there are so many important terms
involved in the stock market.
The distinction between question and answer on each
slide
The ability to click the bottom left of the screen where
it says “Click here for the answer” and “Click here to go
back”
Each slide had a big enough font to read and didn’t
have too many words per slide.
I enjoyed the classroom engagement like when the
professor wrote “get into groups of three to discuss”.
I also liked the slide where students are asked to
imagine setting up their own company. This will get
students to think deeper and participate in class.
6. AdaptedSlides:
I would add a history slide with a timeline sequence of
the stock market crash.
I would have the answers to each question pop up one
at a time while asking students for the answers.
If you ask all of the questions at the same time and let
the answers pop up at the same time, there will be
more confusion and less understanding among
students.
Since the presentation was created in 2009, I would
update the font, change some of the slide format and
coloring, and add recent pictures.
I would also add more visuals and videos to help
explain the stock market. It can be a confusing process
when only reading paragraphs off slides.
I would also show clips of the movie Wolf of Wall Street
to add humor, while adding to the overall
understanding.
7. Adaptions:Add
HistorySlide
Adding a brief history slide to show the timeline and
sequence of events would help the students’
understanding.
Example lesson plan for this: “The Wall Street Crash –
Causes”

8. Adaption:
International
Students
If I had international students in my class and English
wasn’t their first language, I would add translation
slides in each of their native languages.
I would make sure that each student understands the
terminology and word choice I used.
9. Usingthe
Resources:
I would use the Smartboard’s resources by making sure
each slide is interactive for the class. This will assist
each of the student’s attention span.
I would also use internet research to be able to find
information to add to lesson plans, like the “Wall Street
Crash - Causes” lesson.
I would use the Smartboard’s resources to be able to
add various languages for my students on the lesson.
10. Supportof
Universal
Design:
Creating slides and lectures in different languages
would support universal design by helping
international students feel welcomed.
I would make sure that my font size is big enough so
that any student with poor eyesight will be able to read
my writing.
I would make sure there is room in the classroom for a
student in a wheelchair to be able to get to the front of
the class.
I want to make enough resources available so that
every student feels comfortable and involved in the
lesson.
