This lesson plan is designed for incoming freshman marketing majors ages 17-19. It uses mixed media to teach students how to effectively research and filter information from various sources. The plan provides multiple choice questions, matching exercises, and insights into business and marketing. It is universally designed to be adaptable for all types of students, for example allowing information to be presented audibly for visually impaired students.
2. Target Learners
— This lesson plane that I have
chose to hypothetically adapt to a
learning environment, is designed
and structured for an incoming
Freshman Marketing Major (ages
17-19).
4. Overview of How I Used The
Resources
— - Mixed Media: students are going to have to learn
at this day in age that information is going to be
transferred and absorbed through various media
mediums. It is important to show them early and
often the various techniques to get the best out of
their research and studies.
— - Believe it or Not: There is a lot of information out
there, some good and some bad. My goal would be
to use the resources provided to help them filter
out what is quality search and research techniques.
5. How the Lessons/Resources
I Found Support Universal
Design
— The lesson that I have chosen “Business and
Marketing”, provides various lesson plan ideas that
can be adapted to various learning needs and
desires. The lesson plan offers multiple choice
questions, matching analysis, and quality
information and insights into the topic.
— - The beauty of the lesson plan is that is is
Universally Designed, so that the plan is not
concrete and can be interpreted and displayed (by
me) in ways that can be adaptable to all types of
students.
6. Example Usage: Universal
Design
— Example: For example, there might be an individual
in the class who is legally blind. In this case, for
instances if we were doing a “matching the
company with the product they make” exercise, it
would not be universally designed at first.
— Resolution: I would need to make sure that the
lesson plan had some type of audio, and then most
likely have a TA explain the product design to the
student, so that they can best depict what the
product designs entail.
