Despite the very limited time that the contract with Rohde & Schwarz allowed, quickly
became familiar with the R&S SDTR product and equipment, implemented all agreed
features, and fully supported the integration process.

2. Career History
[1] K-tronik is a specialized
service provider for all
development phases of
electronic systems and
components, as well as their
integration and testing. It is one
of the main consulting
companies providing services to
Rohde & Schwarz.
[2] The Rohde & Schwarz
Radiocommunications Systems
Division is one of the leading
global suppliers of software
defined radios (SDR) and
systems for use in fixed and
mobile ground stations, on board
ships, and in aircraft, for both
military and civilian applications.
[3] Formerly Tieto and
TietoEnator, brightOne is an IT
service company, providing IT
and engineering product
services. One of the main
consulting companies providing
services to Ericsson.
[4] Ericsson Mobile Platforms
(EMP) was a company within the
Ericsson Group and one of the
leading suppliers of 2G and 3G
mobile technologies. EMP
merged in 2009 with
STMicroelectronics, forming ST-
Ericsson. The joint venture
ended in 2013 and the company
returned to Ericsson as Ericsson
Modem. Ericsson discontinued
in September 2014 the
development of modems, thus
closing all sites of Ericsson
Modem across the world.
[5] Aeroflex is a leading
worldwide provider of highly
specialised test and
measurement equipment and
microelectronic solutions. In
2003 Aeroflex acquired the
Racal Instruments Wireless
Solutions (RIWS) Group based
in Berkshire, UK. RIWS was
specialising in conformance and
base station test products for the
cellular market. The company
site at Berkshire closed in 2008,
as a result of the consolidation
of various Aeroflex sites across
the UK.
[6] Qinetiq provides research,
technical advice, technology
solutions and services to
customers in the markets of
defence and security. It was
founded in 2001 from the
partition of DERA (Defence
Evaluation and Research
Agency) into two separate
organisations.
[7] EPSRC (Engineering and
Physical Sciences Research
Council) provides government
funding for research and
postgraduate degrees in the UK.
[8] During this period also
served at the Greek Military
Navy.
Electronic Engineering Consultant with K-tronik1
[2015-2016]
Consultant with K-tronik, Munich, Germany.
Consultant at Rohde & Schwarz Radiocommunications Systems Division2
[2015-2015]
Joined Rohde & Schwarz (Munich, Germany) as a consultant with an 11-month contract. Worked on
the R&S HDR-WB Waveform of the R&S SDTR (software defined radios for tactical communications)
Radio of the R&S SDxR family of products. Performed design, simulation, analysis, implementation,
module testing, and documentation of new features for the CSMA/CA-based MAC layer and the
OFDM-based PHY layer of the HDR-WB Waveform, implemented on the TMS320C6457 embedded
processor. The new features allowed the HDR-WB Waveform to make better utilization of the channel
and to reduce the collision rate. Addressed change requests submitted and problems discovered
during system integration and testing. Worked with the R&S telecommunications equipment (FSQ
signal analyzers, SMU vector signal generators, attenuator devices, and power splitters/combiners).

Consultant at Ericsson Mobile Platforms (EMP), ST-Ericsson, Ericsson Modem4
[2008-2014]
Joined EMP (Nuremberg, Germany) as a one-year contract freelancer to work with the Simulation
and Algorithms Group. Was responsible for the TV exchange activities between the group and other
companies (Alcatel-Lucent, NTT DoCoMo, Ericsson BNET, Nortel) for the PHY layer of LTE DL.
Contributed to the development of the C++ simulator (ProSim) for the LTE DL, to enhancements,
bug-fixes, and to the integration and releases of ProSim. Implemented the necessary execution
environment and the TCs for the ProSim regression tests. Joined the Physical Layer Test Group of
ST-Ericsson (formerly EMP and later Ericsson Modem) to support the test activities of the group by
defining, implementing and executing test cases, authoring test specification documents, and
expanding the toolset infrastructure written in Perl and running under Linux. The toolset was used for
developing and running ProSim, for developing and executing the TCs, for delivering the TVs used
