operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and soon showed an immense willingness to learn, earning him a position of
Field Operations Manager as a primary title, including a Safety Officer function during 2012 - 2014.
During his time with the company his responsibilities were as follows:
• Management of field operations in the DRC, Mozambique and Zambia,
• Setting up field camps and general operations in remote areas,
• Client liaison and upkeep,
• Production administration and recording,
• Management of onsite local and expatriate staff such as location schedules, wages, contract implementation, health
and safety inductions,
• Re-supplies, logistics and ordering processes,
• Budgeting and management of cash,
• Health and Safety compliance in accordance with client requirements,
• Onsite HSE audits and risk assessments,
Edgar’s confident approach towards any situation provided excellent preparation for the demanding conditions of the
companies’ field exploration areas. He adapted very quickly and showed a high level of maturity and initiative. Edgars even
temperament allowed him to remain positive through the often changing environments of the DRC, Mozambique and Zambia.
